Everything: welcoming hosts, clean and modern facilities, amazing terraces (two!), jacuzzi and pool. We’d love to come back!

We stayed at Villa Yolo in August for our family holiday in Almyrida/Aspro and had the most wonderful time. The villa was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything you might need if you want to cook (though we mostly ate out). The pool and the views were absolutely amazing, and the hosts were so thoughtful and helpful. For example, when my children wanted bedside lamps to read at night, they brought some over for us — such a kind and generous gesture. One of the real highlights for us was the cats that came by every day. If you’re a cat lover, you’ll be in heaven — our kids were entertained for hours between the pool and the cats, and honestly could have stayed at the villa all week without needing anything else! The beach is a bit of a walk downhill (which we enjoyed during the day), but we never walked back at night. A taxi from the beach to the villa cost between €7–9 and took just a few minutes, so it wasn’t a problem at all. We also did a day trip to Chania harbour which was lovely, and ate at some fantastic restaurants along the seafront. The beach at Almyrida is safe and family-friendly, the people are warm and welcoming, and the food was excellent everywhere we went. If I had to suggest anything, I’d say the villa could do with a few more homely touches — perhaps some bedside tables, softer lighting, or a bit of artwork on the walls — but that’s a very minor point and probably just my personal sensitivity. Overall, it was an immaculate, well-looked-after villa with amazing hosts, great views, and everything you need for a perfect family holiday. We would happily recommend Villa Yolo and would love to return!

This was a perfect villa for our family. The outside space is exceptional, the beds comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well and was very quiet. The roof terrace was a great place to watch the sunset and admire the gorgeous view It is a 20-25 minute downhill walk to Almyrida which has great restaurants - we ate out every night and didn't have a bad meal. Obviously the walk back up the hill takes longer but we mostly grabbed a taxi back for 7 euros (10/12 euros for the bigger MPV/minibus). The villa Yolo team were attentive and communicative which meant our stay was stress-free. There are wild (friendly) cats in the area and they visited the villa (outside) frequently. This didn't bother us at all but something to be mindful of if you have allergies.

Modern, spacious, secluded accommodation set on a hillside suited our family of 4 with teenagers. Nice pool, plenty of sun loungers. With hand luggage only, it was great to have beach, pool and bathroom towels all provided! Nice touch to have a grocery pack on arrival. Stathis and Georgia were extremely helpful in answering any questions we had.

The villa had everything we needed they left a good store of food for us to cover breakfast etc for a few days - bread, milk, juices, cheese, beer, wine. It was spotless and had enough space for 4 of us. The jacuzzi was wonderful we used it a lot.

Everything was perfect for us, great location, views, pool, hot tub and quiet air conditioning throughout the house. The photos we saw in advance of booking are exactly as good in person! Lots of nice details made for a really enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Yolo. The villa was very clean and had a lovely view. The host provided a thoughtful care package of essentials, which was a great touch. The surroundings were quiet, making it a perfect place to relax.

“Gem in Crete”

Absolute gem in Crete. Very nice villa with accessories that will help you enjoy your vacation to the max! We were there with infant as well as with my grandpa and grandma (80+) and we all had wonderful time there. Definitely coming back sometime…

Modern and well-equipped vacation home with every conceivable comfort and most importantly, with a dedicated and flexible host who tirelessly ensures that nothing is missing and that the vacation can be enjoyed to the fullest. Very nice location, large terraces, well-kept pool, only a few minutes to the beach, bakery and supermarket - if you want with the in-house scooter. Thank you, Ram, for a relaxing vacation!

Exceptional villa with stunning views. I booked the accommodation for my mum and her friends. They loved the peace and quiet and having the whole place to themselves. The place was clean and very luxury. The host visited making sure they were okay and left some refreshments : ). He was also very responsive to all questions and helpful when help was required. My mum and her friends were happy with a stay and highly recommend it to others who like to stay away from the crowds and the noise and truly recharge : )
