“Incredible villa, great location, can't recommend highly enough”

Beautiful villa, incredibly well-equipped and in a fantastic location. Really comfy beds and well set up with insect screens etc so you can open windows without letting bugs in. Absolutely perfect place for a family of four or two couples. The hosts were wonderful - sorting any little problem almost instantly. And they'd left the fridge nicely stocked with some welcome drinks and bits, ice and chilled beer glasses. Brilliant WiFi inside and out so you don't run up roaming costs. Fine for streaming. The pool is gorgeous and the set up with shade and furniture around it makes it tempting not to go anywhere! But this is a brilliant location from which to explore. Kalyves and Almyrida are right on your doorstep - Kalyves (fairly - see below) easily walkable at only 1km. And Chania is only half an hour away. We roamed a bit further afield to Heraklion (only worth it for the archaeology), Chania (beautiful), Rethymno (trinket-shoppers paradise) and Elafonisi (just don't bother!). Easy parking right outside the villa for your car (you need one). Beautiful scenery. All in, fantastic.

“A wonderful combination of comfort, convenience, and charm.”

We rented Villa Gianna for our holiday and had a fantastic stay. The house is beautiful both inside and out, with a private pool, lovely outdoor areas, and mosquito screens on all doors and windows. Cleaning was done twice during our stay, and the pool was perfectly maintained. The kitchen was well equipped, and the barbecue made it easy to prepare meals at home. With a rental car, it’s just a short drive to great beaches and nice restaurants, and the air conditioning kept the house at a comfortable temperature at all times. Highly recommended.

The owner Maria met us at the property and she had even prepared us some food on a late arrival which was most welcome! Also her husband Georgos helped us with the luggage which was very helpful.

“Stunning property near beautiful Kalyves”

Maria was absolutely wonderful, meeting us upon arrival, offering a midweek clean and change of linen and always available for queries and assistance. The villa was immaculate, with stunning views over both sea from the upstairs bedrooms and rolling hills and mountains in the distance from the pool. Pool is lovely with very comfortable sun beds to choose between. We also absolutely loved Kalyves. It felt very Greek and seemed most houses in Kalyves were owned by locals, with a smattering of holiday accommodation and tourists. Just enough restaurants to keep you happy on the beach without the Brits abroad feel you might find in other seaside areas. Overall, a wonderful stay and would happily return.
