The Architecture: The building itself is incredibly unique, making for a very interesting atmosphere with a good view. The Service: The staff were the highlight of the trip. Consistently professional, friendly, and helpful. Overall Cleanliness: Aside from one minor oversight, the hotel was generally kept in good condition.

Almost everything, it's a beautiful and curious place, an old prison; it's different and interesting.

We were very disappointed. The reviews are far too generous when it comes to the condition of the hotel. It was dirty everywhere, and the room looked as if it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. We found long hairs on the bed. Despite this, check-in took place at 3 p.m., and renovations were going on in the room next door until 5:30 p.m., so we couldn't rest. There were spiders on the walls, and the furniture was badly damaged. The lack of response to my emails forced me to write this review. The matter was reported to the reception desk, and the hotel manager was supposed to contact us.

“Lovely hotel, great location and value”

The building is amazing. It is a converted prison. The reception was very kind and helpful. They gave me information about the history of the hotel when I asked. My room was very large with a four poster bed, and was great value for money. The hotel is centrally located and a minutes walk from the shops.

Nice hotel in the centre of Almelo. Small room and not very well isolated for the noise in the hotel, but definitely to recommend and I will return at my next stay in Almelo

I received the below feed back from my colleague regarding his stay ..I refused two rooms that unfortunately looked bad: a lot of mold, dirt and other unhygienic conditions. (see attachments) Personally, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone

Good location.

The room was dirty, in particular the bathroom. There’s no isolation between the room and the street, that could be translate into a lot of noise due to the cars. Too much expensive for the real conditions of the room
