All was perfect. Lena is a very welcoming host and helped us with all we needed. She s very sweet and offered us fruits also! Rooms and toilets are clean! There is a washing machine which is very useful after a trek il the mountains around! It s close of the center and very quiet also. You will find everything you need around.. groceries, restaurants parks.. We definitely will come back again!

The host was really professional, helpful and kind. She went ahead of herself helping us in understand the city. The place was at a decent location and supermarkets and other things were reachable while walking. The facilities were really good and even when we returned home late, we could easily get into our rooms without any issues. The host arranged an early check-in for us free of cost and we could check-out easily. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfy stay at budget price.

The owner, Lina was so kind, helpful, and thoughtful of her guests. She extended her help by calling the taxi driver when I left one bag in the taxi and waiting with us outside (in the cold weather at 4am) to wait for the driver to come back.

The hospitality extended by the host, Lena, was truly heartwarming. Despite the language barrier, she was always available to attend to any matter and help promptly. She would truly go beyond the usual norm to make her guests feel comfortable and secure. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable too. All public areas were suitably well stocked, even the restroom had a jetspray, a rare amenity in this part of the world. I would definitely return here if I come to Almaty. Highly recommended for all solo travelers!

I have stayed in this hostel many times before and would happily come back. Quiet backstreet location near centre of town. Lena will look after you like mother. She lives next door in a seperate house.

The hostel is perfect for solo traveler, single room available which is quite rare in hostels. Located within 30 mins of the airport and major attractions. Has fully furnished kitchen and clean bath, showers and toilets. Room has a fan which was very welcome in summer.

“Amazing hostel in Almaty”

It was a perfect stay at this Hostel. We really enjoyed our time here, we couldn’t have a better stay. The hostel is very clean and you have all the facilities that you need. The location is great, only 15 min to the main street where you can find very good restaurants. The host is amazing, she is so kind and helpful. She directly welcomed us warmly, gave us a lot of good recommendations. She also prepared some tea for us during our stay, gave us fruits and pancakes, and keep our luggages when we were on a trip. We felt so grateful. It’s so nice to be in the place with an host like this, that want to make your stay good and take care of the guest. We really feel good. Thank you so much again, we will definitely come back here if we are in Almaty.

“Quiet small hostel with a family atmosphere.”

I come back to this hostel every year. It is central though in a quiet backstreet. Everything is clean and nice. There is a kitchen to make our own food.

It’s the best one I’ve had in all my Almaty stay. Everything is walkable. My bed is comfy. Room is clean. Bathroom is clean. There’s a bum gun which was a great surprise.

We had a great time in Hostel Viator. The host is the sweetest we had in a year of travelling. We highly recommend ! The house is super cute and clean in a great area.

The hostel is located close to the bus stop for buses going to the ski resort, also close to Koktobe cable car station. The owner is very helpful and the place had all I needed for my stay.
