Overview
Set just a short walk from the central plaza of Almagro, this restored 16th-century convent offers charming arched courtyards, beamed ceilings and an outdoor seasonal swimming pool. The Parador de Almagro has been beautifully transformed into a hotel with fantastic facilities. Enjoy the architecture of the building as you walk up the wide, wooden staircase. Admire the wooden ceilings, huge tapestries and original artwork hanging on the walls. Spacious and airy, the beautifully decorated bedrooms were once inhabited by the monks of the original building. Enjoy wooden beams, tiled floors and pretty tiled details on the walls. The decor is in complete harmony with the history of the building and its historic setting. Soak up the sunshine on the poolside lounges in the hotel’s peaceful gardens before enjoying a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool. The restaurant serves modern cuisine based on typical Manchegan dishes and made with fresh local produce.A bar is also featured. Ciudad Real train station is 26 minutes drive from the property.

“An experience to be enjoyed.”
Perfectly balanced, everything was right it this beautiful historical building. The room was fresh and ample, with a good shower and bath. The complete place was outstanding, the architecture, decoration, rooms and grounds absolutely beautiful, everywhere we went in the place there was something amazing to discover. Most importantly was the staff at all levels. The reception staff welcome was great, setting up the stay really. Helped us booking taxis, providing us with some extra requirements and always ready to help. The cleaning staff, efficient, kind and friendly. The pool staff just as great as the pool area. In general a highly recommended Parador.

“A Beautiful Parador in historic town.”
The Parador is in a beautiful building with a very good atmosphere, in a beautiful town with only a small walk to the main square. The staff we met were really friendly and helpful especially the girls on reception who checked us in and out. The parking was good. The room was large with a comfortable bed. Dinner & Breakfast was good with very friendly staff & a varied selection.

The Parador is in a beautiful building in a beautiful town. It is only a few minutes walk to the main square. The staff we met were really friendly and helpful especially the girl on reception who checked us in and out. The parking was good and we had a lovely room.
