“We stayed on the why not houseboat for a night and enjoyed every bit of it.”

Lovely houseboat, the driver and the chef were lovely and we had some delicious traditional kerelan food. The waterways are beautiful.

We had a truly unique and relaxing experience staying one night on this private houseboat. Having the entire boat to ourselves made it feel very special and peaceful. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. A special highlight was the chef, who prepared a variety of delicious local dishes for us. The freshly prepared fish was especially outstanding and a real treat. Spending the day and morning cruising through the backwaters was absolutely beautiful and very calming. The boat itself was well-designed, with comfortable lounge areas that made it easy to sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

“Pure indulgence on a luxury houseboat !”

The best houseboat we saw in our 2 day trip , such a fabulous couple of days of pure luxury and indulgence! Our captain and chef were the best and totally spoilt us. Vineesh took great pride in his boats and looking after his guests, definitely worth going 2 nights as takes you away from the throng of day trippers from allepey , and being the only guests on the boat made it even more personal.

Great houseboat - the upstairs deck is great as you can sit at either the front or back and watch the world float by. Better layout than most boats we saw. Crew were excellent and the food was fantastic and so much. Highly recommended!

“Very special 2 day trip”

We happened to have our 2 day trip with some friends who booked late which made the trip extra special. I would recommend the 2 days as we were able to go further into the lakes and our first night was magical. Second day we were taken on a canoe trip into the smaller canals which again was truly special. Birdlife was incredible, food was delicious and plentiful. Staff were lovely friendly and v attentive.

“A lovely two days”

Really lovely houseboat - comfortable, nice rooms. Staff were so lovely and the food was amazing! We got a little boat out one morning for an hour which was nice to go down the smaller canals.

This stay exceeded our expectation ! Prince (captain) and Suresh (chef) went out of their way to create a memorable experience. It is beautiful and peaceful and the food is excellent. Our overnight stays were carefully selected and allowed us to go for a walk and see the peaceful goings on in the villages.

Really nice boat, clean and excellent service from the crew and the ride around the lake

Beautiful luxurious house boat, very comfortable. The staff (Suresh and Prince) were really kind and friendly, the food was plentiful and tasty. They were really accommodating and helpful, also in storing our suitcases after the cruise.

“An exceptional experience”

Travelling through the backwaters gives you such a unique insight into the daily lives of the locals living by the water, set amongst stunning views of palm trees and winding rivers. Our chef cooked us delicious food for lunch, dinner and breakfast, and our bed was very comfortable. We also had the opportunity to pay 1,500 rupees extra for a 1 hour canoe excursion which was well worth doing, plus a visit to a local fish market to purchase prawns and crabs (1,900 rupees for 6 prawns and 2 crabs)- which our chef then cooked for dinner! Ensure you bring extra cash for this to make the most of all additional opportunities. An exceptional experience - would recommend to anyone visiting Kerala.

“We extremely enjoyed our time on the boat.”

The boat was very comfortable with different area to sit. Bedrooms all had ensuite bathroom rooms with a comfortable bed . The private upper deck was great with open or under cover seating areas. The 3 staff members were super friendly and the food was very tasty. We spent a dreamy 2 nights and wished it could have been longer.

A wonderful experience, very relaxing as everything taken care of. Comfortable, luxury rooms and ensuite. Food incredible, it was like having a personal 5* chef. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A morning lon boat trip through the canal was organised, recommended to observe local river life. A stop for a massage, worth doing. The trip was a definite highlight!

“Expectional”

We had an amazing time on Why Not houseboat. Everything was perfect. Naveen the owner was there to welcome us. The 3 people crew was wonderful. We did 2 nights on the boat which was totally worth it.
