“lovely couple and comfortable homestay”

the rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. We liked the two balconies that are shared with the other guests. The place is located in a friendly neighbourhood and we really meet kind people there. Francis and Daja are really what makes this place feel like home. The homemade breakfast chanced every morning and included Chai or Coffee as well as delicious food. The provided service was great. From booking taxis over recommendations for the area, they will help you! We even got a banana shake in the middle of the day and Daja shared her recipes with us and even made as a traditional Kerala Dish we couldn’t find in a restaurant so we could try it. If you are looking for a place that feels welcoming and warm, i can not recommend it enough to stay with this couple :)

Great hosts, francis owner seriously couldn't do enough for guests. Wife does amazing breakfast not doubt same for other meals but i only had breakfasts. Aircon excellent (and appreciated) bed really comfortable. Cannot praise hosts enough, stayed in afew homestays since being in kerala, this the only one i will be happy extending stay at. 10/10 all day. Oh, and very close to beach. 2 min walk and i have mobility issues.

We loved how helpful and patient Francis was with any questions or concerns we had, he was an extremely responsive and engaged host and helped us organise activities to do whilst we were there, he sorted out everything from transport to payment! Breakfast was delicious and we could choose what time suited us best which gave us a lot of freedom to schedule our days how we wanted. The room was spacious and clean and we were able to do laundry for a small extra fee! The homestay is right next to the beach and there’s nice cafes and a lovely restaurant nearby. I highly recommend this Homestay and would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing experience at Venetia homestay. From the start of the stay to the end we received the best hospitality, on the first day we accidentally got dropped off at the wrong location. Francis and his son kindly came to pick us up. When we arrived Mary was waiting with fresh papaya juice. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The next morning Mary made us a delicious traditional breakfast with masala chai. Francis helped us organise day trips, including kayaking which was such a fun experience. On our last day when we checked out, our bus wasn’t until midnight, but Francis and Mary offered for us to wait in their home, providing us with tea and refreshments and anything we needed throughout the day. Francis and his son then dropped us off at our bus to ensure our safety. We had the best experience at Venetia homestay. They are lovely genuine people who we could not recommend enough!

We had an incredible stay with Francis and his wife, though honestly we must admit we were a bit overwhelmed when we first arrived. Having been treated like a "bag of money" in previous travel experiences, their extreme kindness actually made us a bit cautious at first, we were trying to figure out if there was a catch! We soon realized there was no catch: they are just genuinely kind people. The place is clean, and Francis is incredibly proactive. From the moment we arrived, he had fresh lemonade and bananas ready for us. What we appreciated most was the transparency and trust, he didn't ask for money the second we walked in, but simply settled everything at the end of our stay. A few things that made our stay special: -Backwaters Tour: they arranged it (1000 rupees per person) we met people (foreigners) -Fair Pricing: He organized a bike for us (500 rupees for the full day) and it was waiting at the house with helmets ready to go. He also handled our laundry for a very fair 200 rupees. -Theey provided bottled water and even made us Chai in the morning before our tour. -They arranged a Tuk Tuk to the station for us for 120 rupees. We felt so well-cared It is rare to find a place that balances such professional service with such a warm, human touch. Thank you, Francis and family, for making us feel so welcome

I stayed twice at this wonderful homestay. I think it says enough that when i came back to Allepey i choose Venitia homestay again. It really is a nice place to stay that I truly recommend

A really lovely homestay with very friendly and helpful people that make you feel welcome and at home. The breakfast is absolutely delicious. The rooms are clean and spacious. Its close to the beach where you can see a beautiful sunset. Its in a nice and quiet neighbourhood.

Host was super good and a great follow-up on us. They even dropped us at railway station when we got late. I will definitely stay there if I go to alleppy again.

Our stay was fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable. The family is so nice, they even cooked a delicious breakfast for us. The homestay is very close to the beach and they can arrange tuk tuks to go in the city center and taxis for long distances. We wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much <3

The best home stay we have spent time in India!! Francis and his family are amazing hosts, very knowledgeable with organising activities and cook a great brekky! Cannot recommend enough!!!!!

We absolutely loved the beach front location—it was perfect. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, especially with arranging our backwater activities. They truly made our New Year special. This will always be our go-to stay in Alleppey. It felt more like a home than just a place to stay.

Owner is very caring and very nicely arranged all the cab , taxi within few minutes.....warm welcome by him and her wife is really appreciable with Home made mom alcoholic vine ..,as we reached on d day of CHRISTMAS 🎄🎁... Definitely I would like to come again for more number of days
