What a life experience! We stayed on a backwaters houseboat in Alleppey from 20–21 March 2026, spending almost 22 hours on the boat—and it was truly unforgettable. Cruising through the serene canals, surrounded by lush greenery and glimpses of village life, felt like stepping into another world. The slow pace and calm waters made it incredibly relaxing. The food was enjoyable—simple, typical Indian cuisine, but fresh, comforting, and well-prepared, which suited the whole experience. Overall, a unique and memorable stay that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to unwind and experience something different.

“Nice food and staff on dirty boat”

Food was really good. Staffe was kind and helpfull. But the boat was SO dirty... I didnt want to touch anything. The sheets and floors were clean but the rest was awfull.

The food was yummy, but the real royal treat was this: we travelled to the market where we could choose fresh seafood - and then our own ship cook prepared it! Even cutting decoratively the fruit we chose.

The food ,ambience was awesome.

The cruising in the morning and afternoon was nice but short. We were moored a lot of the time.

**warning - this boat does not exist and I only found out on arrival when I was put on a big two tier boat. However, they linked me up with a beautiful private boat and it was exceptional.

The experience in itself was very nice. The food was good and we got to have an extra boat ride to explore a bit more for an additional charge.

This was a shared boat. Room, bathroom and boat common areas were clean. Rooms looked newly renovated. Our room was just as it was in the pictures. It had its own AC. Food was ok, but too spicy for my taste. Chef gave me lassi to cool down my stomach. They provided bottled water for all guests morning and night. Itinerary was as described. Staff was courteous. We politely declined buying the fish at the local market and nobody pressured us into buying it. Chairs in the top deck eating area are slightly low lying, so we had to go out into the deck to have a full view of the backwards.
