As soon as you enter the resort grounds you relax, it’s an oasis. The food was really great, healthy and not that spicy. I loved the shared dining area, the hammocks, the beautiful room with a porch, the whole environment with a lot of birds and other animals.

The location is exquisite. It is an accommodation that borders Vembanad Lake. The environment is close to pristine. The presence of bird life, other fauna and flora activates an inner calm that is a precious gift. We were housed in a heritage wooden structure that showcases the mathematical precision with which the building was constructed.

It was a wonderful and unique experience at Shantitheeram Resort. We stayed 5 days with my friend and in the end we really felt like home. The people there were amazing, really kind and helpful! And the place itself was magical. It has a pool where you can swim, and hammocks where you can leave your problems behind with a good book. The food was incredible too, we booked for lunch and dinner too and I never had these variety of healthy food which tasted so good! Im so glad we came here and stayed, thank you for the amazing massages, the uplifting yoga classes, the creative projects and just the feeling that you made us feel really home. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

The combination of Ayurveda and yoga here is very impactful. Dr. Anju was very knowledgeable and kind. Therapist Viji was very gentle and caring. Yoga instructor Deepak was too good. The herbal oils, the food, ambiance, the personalized attention — everything seemed to be designed for deep healing. It felt like a home for the soul.

Tucked next to serene Vembanad lake, Shantitheeram was everything I wanted in a wellness retreat. The silence here is sacred. Clean swimming pool, comfortable beds, and lush greenery everywhere. I loved curling up in a hammock after therapy, sipping warm herbal tea. Ideal place to reconnect with yourself.

I went to Shantitheeram needing rest — and I left feeling reborn. The therapies were gentle yet effective, and Dr. Anju took the time to truly understand my concerns. Aditya’s yoga sessions were grounding and healing. The food prepared by Vaisakh was fresh, light, and surprisingly delicious. I’ll remember the rains, lake breeze, the greenery, and the quiet. A true gift.

The ayurveda consultation, followed by massages and the food were the highlights, complimented by rejuvenating yoga session, extremely friendly staff, nice spacious room, and the splendid location bang on the lake. The overall vibe of the place is amazing. Thanks Shantitheeram team for creating such a beautiful experience for us! Whenever possible, we will certainly return to Shantitheeram for a longer and comprehensive panchakarma detox program.

Greenery

Amazing property with stunning views! It was fascinating to learn the story behind the place we stayed. The Nalukettu at Shantitheeram, originally built in 1928, was relocated from Palakkad in 2015, carefully restored, and now serves as a heritage hotel. The hotel also offers other rooms, but we had the pleasure of staying in the beautifully restored section. One thing that wasn’t clearly explained during booking was the range of activities available at the resort. During our stay, we enjoyed an Ayurvedic treatment (a massage) followed by a 4 PM yoga session focused on relaxation. The swimming pool was lovely, though not too deep, and we also played badminton on the court. There is evening tea at 5pm. The manager suggested we wake up at 6:30 AM to catch the sunrise, which turned out to be a truly special experience. There is also a 7 AM morning yoga session and an 11 AM session focused on breathing techniques, but unfortunately, we couldn’t try the latter as we stayed for only one night. The hotel is not huge, which we loved because it means a lot of personal attention from the staff. This also adds to the sense of space and calmness, making it perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. The resort is ideal for exploring and learning about Ayurveda, with beginner-friendly yoga classes and a serene atmosphere.
