“Peaceful location with caring staff”

What an amazing, beautiful resort. The most peaceful place I have stayed during my travels in India. The staff team were incredible - so caring and helpful. I felt really looked after. The food was lovely and the resort is of a high standard. Beautiful heritage buildings that are well maintained and restored. Modern facilities in a building steeped in history. The grounds are immaculate and the pool is beautiful. I recommend guests to go on the Punnamada Shikara boat tour (book at reception) and try Kayaking with Nadodi Kayaking as well as a canoe ride with Alleppey Village Canoeing to see the peaceful backwaters where large boats can’t reach (reception can arrange or just look up on google )

The duplex alloted was not convenient. The bathroom was downstairs while bedroom was upstairs.Again cupboard was downstairs . The raised entrance to room and bathroom required some efforts to enter . Open bathroom was okay but what when you stare at a mongoose or large insect. Hot water was a challenge. Hot water buckets were to be called . Boiler should be on always at a higher temperature

Location was great and staff were very nice. They need to invest a bit and maintain rooms. We stayed in two rooms as we were upgraded for two nights. Lake side was lovely. The other rooms were not nice - far too dark, rusty shower rooms in one room and very dirty floor.

Heritage style design

“A little piece of heaven right on Punnamada Lake”

This resort could only be described as heavenly. I stayed in the private, waterfront cottage with private pool. Every moment was breathtaking from sunrise to a midnight dip in the pool. The food in the restaurant was top tier. I also enjoyed spa services including the synchronized massage and facial—one of the best massages I've ever received. I felt totally reset and ready to take on anything. I couldn't recommend the Punnamada Resort more!

Location and location. Right on the lake and if you take lake view rooms it’s a different feel. Good staff service. Very helpful in arranging tuk tuks.

The location was great along the backwaters and in proximity of Alleppey (10mins drive), the staff and service was excellent, rooms with open bathroom areas were fantastic. The massage services were top notch and best out there. Nothing much to complain.

“Beautiful and quiet place to relax”

The resort is Amazon. Peaceful and beautifully located with lake view from almost everywhere. The staff were so nice and friendly. We did the Ayurveda massage and came out refreshed. Loved every moment there

The food here is great, and I enjoyed the Ayurvedic spa treatments which was very refreshing. Also, both the hotel staff and the spa staff were very attentive and helpful.

The room was really nice. The Resort is at the calm side next to the see. The pool is warm and clean. Service was really good.

“Little touches needed to make it classy”

Amazing and easy check in. It's a lovely resort, incredibly clean rooms (except the hideous bathroom). Comprehensive compendium except no restaurant menu or spa menu. I went online to see the restaurant menu and was greeted by mixed reviews, so I gave it a miss. An in room menu would have persuaded me to go for dinner. No spa menu either, so I didn't bother with that. They missed opportunities to make more $. They went to arrange a car for me to my next resort but the ride cost 3x Uber and was the same price as accommodation- not their facility but it left a final bad taste as I walked out of the resort. Do something about your bathrooms, they are hideous and detract from the gorgeous rooms. Shitty wooden shelving under the sink, wooden rubbish boxes that don't work with torn bags in them, toilet roll holders that break, ages for hot water to come through, is it garden, stone, slate, wood panelling? I mean, just pick one design! Staff were great and always say hello. Pool was lovely. Great location and lovely setting, just missing a little class to make it amazing.
