Great location, clean, comfortable and quiet with AC to cool down from the hot Kerala summer. Close to the canals and rice fields. Both Rino, the host and his mum are very friendly and knowledgeable. We took the canoe tour with him and we spent a splendid morning on the water, exploring the canals, learning about the local life of the people and tasting local coconut drinks. We even got the chance to pet an eagle during one of our boat trip stops. On our last day, Rino and his mum were very kind and allowed us to leave our luggage with them while we spent a few more hours having lunch and exploring the area before taking our train to the next destination later in the day.

Great Homestay with Great Hosts .Very close to main Alleppey backwater canals .The owner and her sons are more than friendly .They help you with everything connected with backwater journey .For sure you feel at home .

“Great spot with lovely host and boat trips”

The place is calm and beautiful, with a lovely roof terrace to enjoy the sunset. The hosts are incredibly helpful and friendly. We booked a boat trip through the backwaters with them too and it was amazing. Rooms are clean and comfy, AC comes at an extra cost and definitely needed (and worth it). Auto stand just across the canal. Thanks again Rino for everything!

Very friendly, kind and lovely family. Everything was to our full satisfaction. Clean and beautiful house. We have had an outstanding tour into the Backwater. With the relative small boat one to six passengers are brought into the tiniest canals of the village areas where almost no tourists come to.

The room is functional, value for money, clean and delivering, what I needed. The location between rice fields and canal is really beautiful. Rino, my host, gave me a great backwater tour within 4 hours, This was a great experience! We could enjoy the silent awakening of far distance villages in an untouched atmosphere, going into really small canals. First I considered a bigger boat due to expected comfort, now I ´m happy I took the opportunity to make the tour with Rino. Thanks so much!

It was very clean and modern, in a convenient location. Easy walking distance to the bus stand, centre of Alleppey and also near the backwaters. Nice view of the canal and boats going up and down. The family are so warm and welcoming. Rino gave me a great canoe trip through the backwaters.

“Really worth the money!!”

The location was amazing, very easy to get a tuktuk to the main road that would cost only 50rp. The house is great and cozy. The staff was the highlight of this stay, they were really great ! We wanted to book a boat tour to go around the canals, only we would’ve payed at least 2X more ! The tour was private and 3 hours long!! Thank you so much.

Everything was very nice. The owners are very sweet people and they made us feel very welcome. We even booked the boat ride with them and we really enjoyed.

My stay at paddy n canal was the highlight of my Kerala trip. What makes this place truly special is its location. It’s perfectly sandwiched between a tranquil canal in the front and endless emerald paddy fields in the back. I spent my mornings watching the local life on the water and my evenings watching the sunset over the rice stalks. The hosts treated us like family, serving incredible home-cooked meals If you want an authentic, slow-paced Kerala experience away from the tourist crowds, this is the place to be."

“Wonderful”

We booked 1 night here, but ended up staying for 5! The family is very hospitable and they try to help in every way possible. The night after we arrived I became sick and they went out of their way to help. The room is very clean and comfortable and you can even eat in as they provide very tasty Indian meals. The place really began to feel like home away from home 😊 This was honestly the most pleasant stay we had in India… Thank you for everything Minnie, Rino, Ronny and Sona!

Everything about this homestay was excellent - the room was great and the owners are so lovely and helpful. The food they cooked for dinner was also incredible - highly recommend!

“Good price value”

They organised a tour for us which was great. The family helped to organise drivers and were very supportive. The AC in the room is very powerful. No road noise during the night but you might hear dogs and chicken. Dinner has a lot of variety and vegetables. You are sitting at their dining table and the family joins you for all meals. The homestay offers good price value.

“Would recommend to anyone needing a base in Alleppey”

The family were kind, friendly and helpful. Especially Rino and his brother Robin. They can help with pretty much anything you want to organise but do so in an informative rather than pushy way. The room was comfortable and clean and the shared fridge and tea/coffee making facilities very convenient.

We only stayed 1 night and were impressed by the fabulous welcome we received - the home cooked breakfast was delicious and they went out of their way to give us food we liked ( Kerala style plus scrambled eggs and chapatis ) It was nice to sit out in the comfy armchairs watching the boats go by and easy to walk to from the bus station - very good value for money with a communal kettle and tea / coffee / water provided
