Friendly host, nice breakfast and evening meals. Main highlight is the serene view of the lake and watching local fishermen go out and the Chinese fishing nets operate. About 30 mins in tuk tuk from Alleppey (c. 600 INR each way) which host is happy to arrange for you.

The staff were incredibly helpful arranging our Kayaking on the water. The property felt like it was in a quiet oasis which was very relaxing. The food was incredible and brilliant value for money.

We had a wonderful stay. The location right on the lake is simply beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. Anshad was especially helpful, giving us great advice on how to get around, suggesting activities in the area, and helping us plan the next step of our travelling itinerary through Kerala. We truly appreciated his support and local knowledge. We also had lunch and dinners there and the food was absolutely delicious: authentic, homemade, and prepared with great care. Every meal felt special. The homestay is easy to reach by tuk-tuk, which makes it very convenient while still feeling calm and away from the crowds. We only stayed two days, but honestly, I could have stayed a month. I would come back anytime without hesitation. Highly recommended!

The owner and his family are lovely. The bedroom is simple but had everything I needed. We had a water problem during my 9 days stay but the owner solved this problem quickly.

Very calm and directly at the beautiful lake. Amazing to step outside in the morning and see the water and watch the birds during breakfast. Breakfast was both, Indian and continental breakfast with omelette and toast. I also had lunch and dinner there which was very delicious, too. My hosts were very nice and made sure I had everything I needed and more.

The property is almost like a paradise, with a beautiful garden, overlooking the lake Vembanad. You can just sit in the garden and spend all day watching hundreds of water birds and fishermen. It's really a homestay where you stay with a family and served with absolute local delicacies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The warmth of the family, absolute beauty of the place and smiling people in the neighborhood would make your stay a fantasy.

Loved the stay at Lovedale. Mr. & Mrs. Anshad are one of the best hosts you will ever come across. Not only did they make sure our stay was comfortable but also arranged a Shikara ride, Auto and also guided us for other activities. If you are looking for a peaceful stay away from the chaos, and want to spend time in solitude, this is the place for you. I visited Kerala with my daughter and we planned one night stay but extended it to two. We were so happy with the property and mostly had our meals at the homestay. We loved everything they had cooked for us.
