“Trip to the backwaters”

It was a real family affair, we felt instantly welcomed into their home, they helped us know what was available in the area. Sorted out a wonderful kayak trip in the morning and a boat ride in the evening. In the morning you we were served freshly made authentic breakfasts Thank you

The family at this Homestay are absolutely lovely. A different breakfast was prepared each morning which they were happy to tell us more about. The actual setting on the edge of the water is lovely, and it was simple to arrange boating and kayaking experiences with the family.

“Home away from home”

We loved it here. The best food we had in our entire trip through India was these homemade breakfasts. The house is beautiful, the family and so generous, welcoming, and patient. We will come back!

“A Tropical Paradise”

This is literally the perfect accommodation! A small, cheap very nice room which is absolutely correct price wise. A lovely family that provide assistance with everything you need like boat trips, kayaking, an AMAZING breakfast is included with delicious evening meals upon request and cheap! It is situated right on the water ... literally 4 feet from the water and the boats go past all day which is enchanting. Just book this place, you cannot go wrong.

The host was good and we liked the place, the homestay has a view of backwaters.

The stay was near to the backwater and was ready to go to activities quickly. During season plan your trip which will be more efficient. Because during rainy season you can't go to activities. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was approachable and kind hearted.

“Lovely stay with friendly family”

This was cosy home stay run by a lovely warm family. The room was spotless and comfortable, the air con worked perfectly. We were able to go kayaking with the son and he gave us travelling tips too, which we are grateful for. The food was incredible.

This house right on a main canal of Allepey is a real gem.The room was very clean with all the necessary amenities ,air-conditioning, good wifi, hot water. But above all was the kindness of the owners who made us feel at home and made our stay unforgettable Breakfast was very nice and they also cooked for us delicious dinners as the father is a chef.They also arranged for us a 3 hours tour with a shikara and kayaking at the sunset.They even took us one night with them at a festival in a temple which was a unique experience. Very good value for money

“A really welcoming home from home right on the backwater”

Eden cabana was a real home from home, a proper homestay. TP and his parents couldn’t have been more welcoming, kind and helpful. The homestay has just 2 double rooms and TPs mum made us the best Keralan breakfast we’ve had. We asked TP to arrange a couple of bespoke trips for us -a tuk tuk tour including temples, the Coir museum, Mahani beach and lunch at a “toddy” family restaurant. Top tip if you take away any toddy, either drink it that evening or remember to loosen the lid or risk explosion! Our other trip was an early morning boat trip on the backwaters starting with a beautiful sunrise, lots of bird wildlife and lovely scenery. Fabulous.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Relaxing location right next to the water. The family are so lovely and really look after you during your stay. Would highly recommend both sunset kayak and sunrise open boat trips - the family were able to help organise both of these for us, and you see much more than you would be able to in a bigger boat. We also enjoyed the homecooked breakfast and dinners that they made for us.
