Contacted me the day before.my arrival (via WhatsApp rather than through Booking.com) to say they were overbooked and couldn't honour my confirmed booking. Then asked me to cancel the booking rather than them as it was easier for them dwspite the issue being caused by them.

“Lovely place - I would recommend”
The homestay is super close to the beach and lots of cafes / restaurants which was perfect for me. Room was very comfortable and quiet - I had the best nights sleep whilst here. The bus station / city itself a short taxi or longer walk away. They also arrange boat trips in backwaters - the one I took was excellent. The host was great, even helping with onward travel.

Good location close to the beach. Very clean and comfy rooms. Hot water shower. AC and fan in the rooms. Comfy beds. Super nice hosts. Very helpful and available, if there’s any questions. Even provided free breakfast one morning, which was awesome. Would definitely recommend to stay.

The hosts were wonderful, very caring and prompt in everything . Made us feel like famiy. There is nothing they could deny. Asked for one of the old traditional breakfast to with so much love, immediately idiyappam and coconut milk was made for us. Beautiful Sun set view from west Sea, hardly takes 3-5 mins from their place.want to get a Home experience, must visit Dune homestay,,

Dune Homestay is the best place to stay in Alleppey. Exceptionaly, clean,, quiet, comfortable and friendly place to stay, and has everything you need as a traveller. Beautiful rooms, some with balconies that everything works perfectly well. No problems with all the amenities. Beach and restaurants close by, and a great location. If that is not enough for you, wait until you meet Thomas. and his lovely family.! A very friendly and helpful fellow, a super host ready to help you in any way he can, making sure you have a great stay. I had a great time here and visit was exceptional. “Highly recommended”
Our host family was warm and welcoming. The property is very close to the beach and some nice cafes. The rooms were very clean. It's a well-kept property. The chechi who did the cleaning does a fantastic job in keeping the place spic and span. We enquired about getting some Kerala local breakfast, and the host family made it for us, and omg they were soooo delicious. Would recommend it 100% to anyone who is considering visiting Alleppy.

Value for money. The location is walking distance from the beach. Host is a nice person and helpful in suggesting places to visit.
