“Good value hotel in a perfect location”

Great location, right at the city beach and about 10-15 minutes walk along the seafront to the old town. I received a warm welcome and the proprietors were extremely attentive at all times. The room was basic but had everything I needed and I was comfortable throughout my stay. The small balcony overlooked a courtyard which meant it was a cool place to sit and read my book in the afternoon. Lovely breakfast with good choice and great coffee and everything was replenished quickly. I heartily recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again.

🌟 A wonderful stay in Alghero – this hotel exceeded our expectations! Hotel San Giuan is in a fantastic location – right by the sea shore. Just across the street is a beautiful, clean sandy beach with crystal-clear water – a true delight for body and soul. Sun loungers and umbrellas cost €25 per day for two people, making it perfect for relaxing by the sea. The old town is just a 10–15 minute walk away. There is also a bus stop very close to the hotel. A daily bus ticket costs €8 per person. The hotel is bright, very clean, cozy, and well maintained. Our room was not large but very comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. We were pleasantly surprised by the mini fridge stocked with water and soft drinks – this is not a common luxury in a 3-star hotel. The room was cleaned daily, and towels were changed every day. For smokers, it is worth mentioning that there was an ashtray on the balcony windowsill. Although our room was a corner one, we had a clear view of the sea – a calm and pleasant sight. The beds were truly comfortable, and the sleep was cozy and peaceful. After three days, we definitely felt rested and refreshed. Breakfast was good, traditionally Italian, but the real treat was the strong and delicious Italian coffee that we enjoyed every morning on the terrace under the umbrellas, savoring the morning sun and tranquility. However, the true highlight of this stay was the wonderful hosts. From the very first moment we stepped through the door, they welcomed us with warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality. Their attentiveness and sincere care made us feel very comfortable and valued. When we accidentally left a hat behind upon departure, they not only found it but even brought it to the airport to return it to us – such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture deeply touched us. We sincerely recommend this hotel. If you are looking for comfort, a great location, and warm human connection – this is the place. We will definitely return next year.

Beautiful hotel, super clean (cleaned daily), right across road from beach and only a short walk from the old town. There is also a local bus a stone throw from hotel, ideal to get to and from airport. We had such a fantastic experience. The 2 sister owners couldn’t have been nicer, nothing was an issue for them and they were always such a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend.
