The rooms were really nice with great facilities and views over the hotel grounds and local landscape. Pool and gardens were beautiful. Hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Lovely selection of hot / cold / sweet / savoury . The staff were lovely very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to visit or restaurants to eat at . Lovely peaceful location but a car needed to explore outside of Alghero. Very relaxing in beautiful olive groves. Having cats at home it was lovely to have friendly affectionate cats around the grounds.

Homely, serene, rustic setting 2.5km from Alghero. Welcoming and warm hosts. Beautiful pool, delicious coffee and breakfast.

It's too noisy. We left the first night out of 5 disappointed. We couldn't sleep. Bad smell in the room.

General vibe of this place, its people, location (we were there with our own car), cats...one day we'll come back again to your place, that's for sure. Country Hotel Vessus is situated in the middle on a beautiful olive tree garden. One can be immersed into relaxation and tranquility while staying there. The breakfast is a decent, continental one. Even if the location is in the outskirts of Alghero, it is only 10 minutes drive/30-40 minutes walk to the city center. Not all personnel speak English, however we managed to understand each other conveniently. The room is big enough

“Peaceful location within easy reach of Alghero”

The room was spacious, well equipped, and clean. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The host gave us a map, directions to places nearby, and a list of local restaurants to try. The hotel is within easy reach of Alghero by car, but a fair walk on foot. Parking in the main town car park on the seafront was simple, cheap, and made the walk into the old town simple.

Nice 'country park' feel to this accommodation. We arrived a bit later than planned in the evening and couldn't initially get in the gated grounds as there was no answer from the chap on reception but the lady (who I think owned the property) answer on mobile and handled it. The couple who owned the property were lovely and met all our needs at the wonderful and plentiful breakfast. The room was large with plenty of space to put your things. Very peaceful and quiet at night. There was a nice pool, although we didn't get chance to use it during our stay. It is a good 30 minutes' walk into Alghero, so we drove which was fine as it was only c 10 mins.

Vessus is a pretty peaceful oasis just six minutes from Alghero. Set in a large olive farm, the grounds are lush, the pool clean and not overcrowded. Daily breakfast served cheerfully by Gisela, Georgio and Marina includes fresh eggs, hot and cold meats, cheeses, croissants, fruit and cakes. It is home to several cute cats. Roons are spacious, with balconies overlooking the garden and bare fridge. This hotel is very well run and we wish we could have stayed longer than 3 nights. Highly recommended.
