“A warm, comfortable and welcoming stay with excellent breakfast and thoughtful, accommodating hosts.”
The hosts were very friendly and accommodating to my needs. The room was cosy, and the beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great value for money, with an excellent selection for a guest house — better than some hotels I have stayed in. I stayed in the family room, which had a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The room was on the ground floor, making it accessible for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues. The 11.00am check out is great too. Overall, a very comfortable and welcoming stay.

The hosts were absolutely fantastic; so welcoming, genuine and kind. They were so helpful and couldn’t have done more to make our stay comfortable. The room was perfect for us, it had more than we needed and a large private bathroom. The breakfast was delicious too with fresh, high quality local produce.

Beautiful rooms with quality furniture and furnishings. Appears very new deco and a cosy feel. Amazing friendly family who run the business. Breakfast was great value and fresh fruit salad, cereals, toast and hot options. Big portions but very tasty. I would say that it is too cheap per night and would happily have paid more money. Other guests we chatted to at breakfast had enjoyed their stay which says it all. We would definitely stay again.

The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast with several options on offer. The room is nice and comfortable with everything you need. Car parking is plentiful and easy to access. Thanks again to Paul and Nikki for a very nice stay.

It was a great location and with easy parking next to the property. The room was clean and well furnished and the owners obviously take great pride in providing a welcoming environment and it really showed. Also excellent breakfast.

“Good value for money.”
The proprietor was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. WiFi signal good excellent shower. Breakfast was an option but we didn’t partake so cannot comment.

“The perfect air bnb experience!”
The room was more like a 5 star hotel than am air bnb. Terribly luxurious, warm and super comfy. The walk in shower was perfect and they kindly left out lots of various sized towels. The room is well kitted out for making yourself tea or keeping cans in the mini fridge. The service was wonderfully warm and hospitable. It all felt very easy and relaxing. The location in as central as it possibly could be and everything is you'll need is right around the corner. I would stay again in a heartbeat. In fact, I'm already planning to return to Anchor House.
