“Fantastic Stay at BORG EL THAGHR”

Excellent hotel in the heart of Alessandria. Spacious rooms and an incredible view! Great attention to cleanliness, not only in the rooms but also in all common areas. Large beds, incredibly comfortable mattresses and pillows! Fully equipped bathrooms, spacious and, once again, spotlessly clean. Full breakfast: you can choose between an oriental or continental breakfast. We chose both (there were three of us), and both were plentiful and delicious. The restaurant is located on the terrace with a spectacular view of the city. The staff is smiling, helpful, and ready to welcome guests in the best possible way. It's a shame we'd already had dinner: the restaurant must be excellent (I checked the prices and menu). Next time we're there, we'll take advantage of it for dinner too. The hotel is just a 7-minute walk from Alessandria's charming waterfront. Shopping options are all around: from clothing to small local restaurants; from coffee shops to pastry shops. Finally, a special thanks to Mr. ADEL at reception, who welcomed us warmly, very professionally and quickly checked us in and showed us around the property. I highly recommend this hotel in Alexandria, one of the best we've stayed in Egypt. We'll definitely be back! We felt like at home. Thanks again to all the staff.

A real find... although in an old building the hotel was totally refurbished within the last 3 years, the suites are very spacious and we had a very large terrace. Good views given it's on the 10th floor including down to the Roman ruins. A dedicated elevator gets you up to the comfortable hotel from a rather run down entrance to the building so don't let that put you off! The hotel restaurant is surprisingly good with great food and a nice terrace with views. Very convenient for the station, short walk to the sea front and relatively quiet.
