Overview
Alexandra Garden Court Motel is located on the edge of Alexandra, in a quiet country like setting opposite the Otago Central Rail Trail. Set in 2 acres of landscaped gardens and lawns with units opening to the garden and patios with tables and chairs for you to relax in. 6 x self-contained units with all linen, electric blankets, dual-heating, oven, microwave and TV. All units are well-insulated — cool in summer and warm in winter. Restaurant Industry Lane eatery for lunch. Take a walk over the old rail bridge and walk to the clock on the hill, come back over the shaky bridge. Ferris road brewery for crafted beer and wood fire pizzas Thursday to Sunday.

“A quiet motel in a country town.”
Located on the outskirts of town. Quiet location. Large apartment, large bathroom. Free off side parking beside the apartment. The local cat is very friendly and made itself at home in the apartment when we arrived.

Cosy little room with stunning gardens great place for a recharge if you have kids plenty of room to run around. Loved how the door opened up to the most beautiful garden setting. Very clean and full cooking facilities

Great retro motel. Great old fashioned service. Excellent unit with full kitchen & separate bedroom, beautiful “back yard” & children’s area. Denise is a marvellous hostess. Great price.

Fridge wasn’t turned on but didn’t realise and had put sons insulin in fridge thinking it would be turned on but was turned off at switch. Not ideal when you need to keep insulin cold for diabetic

“Lovely place to stay.”
The motel was easy to locate as we arrived at it driving in from Dunedin. It was set in an area with a lovely garden complete with Californian quail. It was clean and comfortable and had better cooking facilities than most with a full cooker and microwave. The host was friendly and so was the lovely cat who followed us around the garden.

Beautiful gardens and very comfortable rooms. The pool was an extra bonus. I can be fussy with beds but the queen I had was just as good as home.
