“DO NOT BOOK”
I had agreed to check in at 3pm in advance with the hotel but unfortunately when we arrived at 3pm there was no one there. I rang the door bell numerous times and rang the hotel number 4 times and no answer: I was travelling 8 months pregnant & with a toddler and needed to check in to the hotel before my brothers wedding. I had to leave at 3:30 as my brothers wedding was at 4pm. I received a very rude phone call from staff with no apology and telling me it was my fault for not waiting and for not noting that it was a unmanned reception desk. I said I had arranged a check in time of 3pm before hand: they then made an excuse about an accident delaying them. I was offered no apology, no refund (I paid in advance) and was met with a very rude girl. We were left to get a taxi back to Lisbon city at 12am from the wedding as this was the only place we could get last minute accomodation. Resulting in a lot of extra expense. Very bad service. Hotel looked run down and grubby from outside. Can’t say what it’s like inside as we never made it in the door!
