Exceptional place, location is central to everything. The place itself is magical, like something from a fairytale,so much to look at and not a speck of dust anywhere. And you have everything you need,all stocked up and ready for you, from fresh water in the kettle to milk in the fridge. Towels are big and fluffy,the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever had. Iain was delightful, sent clear and detailed instructions for checking in and checking out, absolute joy to talk to. I'm very happy I've found this gem.

Ian the host is brilliant and his communication really adds to the experience, the property is really charming, you've got to be careful you dont donk your head in the bedroom but the bathroom was much bigger than expected, we will 100% be back

“Hidden relaxation gem”

Ian was an excellent communicator, the venue is in the heart of the village within easy walking distance of everything including the train station. Apart from everything that you can already see in the pictures there are also a multitude of board games, playing cards and even a kettle a microwave and a fridge.

It was quirky, very interesting and comfortable. We met the owner who was very personable and gave useful advice. We stayed a night each in Merlins and then Wizardry. Located around the corner from the main street providing easy access to pubs, restaurants and shops. We went to a lovely turkish "cafe" for breakfast.

Lovely cozy cottage with a huge comfy four poster bed. Feels like you are miles away from anywhere when you're inside but when you step outside you are 2 minutes from all the restaurants bars and cafes of Alderley edge.

Very quirky. Very comfortable. Close to the village. Had everything you need and loads more. Four poster bed a luxury. Friendly and helpful, couldn't want for more.

“Cosy, fun and a great location”

Loved the styling and the thought behind it. Was there with daughter and Grandchildren and they all loved it. It was a great add on to our visit to Lapland UK. Cosy place to stay. Ian is a really friendly and helpful guy. We only had one night though and would have loved to have had more time. Warm, clean and fun!

I liked how cozy the thatch was it had a warm comforting feeling the moment you enter the property the outside of the property is gorgeous and really thought out. I thought it was a beautiful property with lots of memorabilia that was nice to look at and read ! Very interesting and quirky place and we LOVED IT!

Really unique property, full of character and charm. Lots of space in living room and able to make snacks or breakfast if you wanted to. Excellent location, very quiet and just a couple of minutes from the high street
