An amazing property with great views and relaxing outdoor space. Stars at night were amazing. Would stay again! Some great recommendations from Antje - highly recommend a visit to Malhao beach at sunset and a massage from Patricia at the house.

What a find! The location is rural, scenic, and the house itself exceptionally beautiful and welcoming! Everywhere was clean and well appointed for such a small house; with pretty much everything we needed for a relaxing stay in the countryside . Antje was the consummate host - very accessible and extremely helpful throughout our stay! Would not hesitate to recommend this place. Thank you Antje :)

“Away from the madding crowd.”

Set in a beautiful Alentejo landscape of gently rolling hills, this cozy and well appointed cottage is the perfect place to just be, not do. After a busy few days in Lisbon, we appreciated the peace and quiet and the views, and also the comfortable bed and good quality bedding. The kitchen is well equipped, and firewood and firelighters were provided which came in handy on a couple of cold evenings. Antje is a very friendly and welcoming host. The coast is a half hour drive away. We enjoyed driving to Porto Covo, then walking to the fort and restaurant at Ilha do Pessegueiro. We also visited Vila Nova de Milfontes, where most restaurants were closed for the winter. I recommend driving round to the restaurant on the beach at Furnas, from which you get a great view of the town, and which serves good food.

“Peaceful stay in a beautiful house in Alentejo”

Sernadinha was a perfect place for me and my family ( two kids of 7 and 3). It is located very close to the most beautiful beaches of Alentejo, in a very peaceful village. We have the opportunity of riding horses and meet the new born small pig ( one of the best attraction for my kids). The house and garden is very comfortable and with very good taste. Also our anfitrion, Antje, in words of my son of 7, " the kindest woman in my life". Thank you for everything our stay in Sernadinha has been perfect, and we expect repeat the experience!!

“A country paradise surrounded by views and wildlife”

Our little house had green views across the valley, and was surrounded by cork trees and tall grasses that hummed with the songs of birds in the day, and the sound of frogs and cicadas at night. In the day we explored the surrounding countryside through a network of dirt tracks, surfed, and hiked the Rota de Vicentina. But honestly, mostly, we also just wanted to sit in the garden looking at the view and the wildlife, and having lazy lunches (well equipped kitchen by the way) on the little terrace. At night we had BBQs, looked at the (very bright) stars, had log fires and experienced the world's most wonderful bath-with-a-view! Truly, this little place was paradise and we were sad to leave. Our hosts very sweetly let us groom their ponies, invited us for drinks and to explore their pond, and arranged a horse ride with a local guy. They were even gracious when we lost the key (sorry!). We will be coming back for sure.
