Beautiful restoration of a Donkey’s stable … excellent apartment with a lovely feel to it , garden/ courtyard was lovely … The balcony was really nice to sit out and enjoy 👏.

“Wonderful, charming, central, yet quiet place!”
This is such a charming place. We absolutely loved it. It had a really good vibe, 2 steps away from the center, yet very quiet, and it felt spacious. The courtyard is absolutely lovely, and we couldn't recommend this place more!

“Lovely apartment with character in the historic centre”
The apartment was located in an old stable which had been completely renovated into apartments. The location was excellent in the historic centre, close to the cathedral & very quiet. The apartment was compact, clean & well appointed with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable & the towels were soft & fluffy. We were also able to leave our luggage in the apartment on the day we were leaving. Considering everything La Casona was probably the best accommodation we've stayed in. Highly recommended!

“Feels like home in Alcalá de Henares”
What I liked: - Location: The main street is just round the corner and other attractions (including Alcalá University) are only a short walk away. Alcalá de Henares is a small place. During the day it looks lively, at night it was quiet. - Courtyard: it is beautiful inside the compound. Love the paintings on the walls, one of them resembles Woman at the Window by Dali. Peaceful ambience. - Facilities: You pretty much get everything you need. I was really happy that I could use the washing machine - it was a hot summer. A jar of cold water in the fridge was a nice touch. Big fan of the coffee machine too. - Space: when I travel for work, I would love to have separate space for work and for relaxation. The spacious sitting room and the also spacious bed gave me just that. I was productive on the vintage table (with sewing machine). - Check-in: Smooth check-in online. No face-to-face interaction required. Even though I like human interaction, it did not bother me at all. All in all, I must thank La Casona del Asno for being part of my great experience in Alcalá de Henares. Muchas gracias!

“Excellent apartment in great location.”
The location was perfect and a very short walk from Calle Mayor (less than 1 minute). The view of the cathedral from the apartment was a bonus. The apartment was perfect for two people with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom with a shower and a washing machine. The building was very clean and well maintained as was the apartment itself. There appears to be parking available within the buildings courtyard, but I did not need to use this. Instructions for gaining entry were very clear and provided via WhatsApp whilst I was on route to Alcala from the airport. Will definitely return to this apartment when I return to Alcala de Henares.

“Good stay, but would have been even better if we'd got the room that we booked.”
Good location, clean rooms, quiet. The decor is nice and the bed linen and towels were new and clean. The room was cool enough although the 'air conditioning' works through the apartment floor which i've never experienced before but it kept the room cool enough at night after we lowered the temperature. It's ok and keeps the room cool enough but you don't get the cooling effect of blowing air that a conventional air conditioning unit gives.
