A bigger grocery shop is just below the flat, and all the main sightseeing spots are within a short walking distance. There’s a lift in the building, which is very convenient. The apartment itself is very cosy, clean, and has everything you need—including games for kids. The design is beautiful, with many lovely handmade items. As someone who loves handmade things too, I found it really inspiring! The flat truly felt like home. The owner was always in contact and shared helpful information about events happening in town, as well as recommendations for museums, cafes, and restaurants. We were also pleasantly surprised by how much food Yolanda left for us, which was very thoughtful. The apartment was very warm, and with the air conditioners, I’m sure it’s also very comfortable in summer. One charming highlight of the town is the many storks living there—it’s such a lovely experience to see them up close. Alba de Tormes is a beautiful town with plenty to explore, and the people are amazing and friendly. It’s close to Salamanca but much more relaxed—we really enjoyed visiting local museums with incredible Renaissance masterpieces, without the crowds of bigger Spanish cities. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely come back!
