Beautifully designed chalet, with very modern - and new - bathroom. Chalet sleeps 4 on 2 floors (a "vide"). Very close (250 m.) to the centre. Price is great ($ 25) Parking available (free)

very kind owners, very clean and nice. Safe, a good place to stay. Only a few meters to the center of town. We enjoyed it.

Great little chalets, thoughtfully designed and very centrally located on a pretty street just a few steps from everywhere worth visiting in Alausí.

“A few nights relaxing in Alausi”

Very comfortable and clean, relaxing place to be, staff friendly. There is a small swimming pool, you can use the washing machine. There is a cafe attached with a great variety of breakfasts. The chalets are one room with stairs leading to an open spaced platform with a second bed, not really an apartment as described. Also not much of a view from the chalets although there maybe there is from other rooms. However plenty of spectacular views from the town. Just a couple of minutes walk into town. Everything is very nicely done down to the little details. A wonderful town, people so friendly.

“Worst night in Ecuador”

We basically could not sleep because of the very noisy device for the water running all night long just above our heads (see picture). At our arrival in the afternoon, we asked the lady if the noise would eventually stop and she replied yes, but at our return after dinner it wasn’t and there was nobody left in the building (9 in the evening), so we had to hear it all night long basically without sleeping!!! The morning after we complained and she was very rude about it instead of being sorry or supportive. The price is crazy for a ghost town like Alausi where there is nothing left to see now that Nariz del Diablo is closed. Breakfast is not included and we spent almost 100 usd between the night and the breakfast! I would not recommend staying here at all, better avoid the town altogether because it was also very difficult to find a decent place to have dinner.

The staff was very helpful and very kind. We did not stay in one of the chalets, but in the building next to the chalets. The room was very well insulated, so we did not need any of the small heaters and extra blanket that they provided. The mattresses were very comfy. There is a small cafe on-site where you can have breakfast or a small snack. The location is perfect and the night was quiet. It is a pity that the train service has been suspended since 2020, but it was a good stop-over on the way to Cuenca. Apparently, there are many more things to do around Alausi.
