It is comfortable, clean, in a great location and good value for such a nice space! Best of all, Marco is a wonderful host- we loved hearing stories about his running and the local race he organises. He gave helpful tips and recommendations to make the most of our time in Alausí. The Nariz del Diablo walk is beautiful! Free coffee, tea and filtered water. Breakfast was great for a reasonable extra cost.

The owner was super friendly. The train didn't go, so he showed a hike I could take instaed. The hostel was very clean and there is coffee and tea you can take. The hot shower was amazing.

Super nice team, and the location is great: right in the middle of town but quiet. Our room was new, super clean, very comfy and with enough room to store luggage, hang clothes. It's a really nice place, and the little museum section in the stairway and the guestbook writings on the wall give it it's very own charm.

Very clean, well located, right by the train station, amazing views from the rooftop, very nice owner. I'd totally recommend this place!

Everything!!!! The location, comfortable beds, hot water (the water was actually hot, not only semi-warm like in other places!!!), free cafecito and tea all day long! Highly recommend this place!

“Best place to stay in Alausí for the solo traveller!”

The bed was really comfy and everything was clean. I appreciated the towel and soap bars. Great location to La Nariz del Diablo train station and close to the bus station. The manager was really helpful.

The room we got was up a couple of flights of stairs. It was cozy. There are bigger rooms. It was clean and felt modern. The shower room was a good size. I hope they get around to fixing the gap at the bottom of the shower door as it leaves the floor rather wet. The staff are very nice. They recommended a restaurant and a local hike. Personally I'd also recommend the Italian restaurant. When we did the hike, there was no bus back from Nizag. We ended up hitch hiking back. This was very easy. The breakfast is very nice. I would stay here again

This is a very nice hostel I staty, the workers and owner are very friendly, the rtoom and bath room all very clean, anyhow, I like this hostel.

The location is perfect to explore the town. The hostel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent. The room comfortable. Best of all our host Marco who was friendly and welcoming, gave us tips what to see and where to eat. He even gave us a lift to the correct bus stop for Cuenca. Muchas gracias Marco

Marco was an excellent host. He was very friendly and had many recommendations for activities. The breakfast was very good! We had a room with a private bathroom, which was nice except that the water leaked a bit from the stall toward the toilet. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Everything! Marco the owner is an incredible person, the hotel is perfect, comfortable and nice. Definitely is the place to stay in Alausí.

It is a hidden gem - the best I’ve stayed in in Ecuador - the breakfast was soo well presented & delicious. Newly renovated yet still has quirks with its eclectic collection displays.. the hosts are lovely people and clearly enjoy visitors without being overbearing..try & fit it into your travels as it’s well placed for a stop over 🥰

The owner Marco is a true legend😁 he is sooo easy to talk too. The breakfast was amazing too. So overall just own of the best hostels I stayed.
