Overview
The Italian-style Club Martino Costa Rica is set in tropical gardens, 10 minutes’ drive from San José Airport. It offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a spa with sauna and gym. Air-conditioned suites feature a balcony with pool and garden views. They have a safe, minifridge and cable TV. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer, free toiletries and a second telephone. The hotel’s Restaurant La Focaccia has been rated one of the best in the country. There are also 3 bars, including Main Hotel Bar. The large spa features a Roman bath and over 20 treatments are available. Costa Rica Bird Sanctuary is located directly in front of the resort. The complex has 24-hour reception and games room with billiards and table tennis. There is free parking and you can hire a car from the tour desk, which can also arrange airport transfers.

“Recomm d for a short stay at least in the room were we were placed.”
We liked the gardens and the swimming pool. The Italian restaurant was quite good. The staff at the reception were very amable. We also enjoyed the paddle court.

“Highly recommended if you need a night close to the airport”
I booked for a night before our return flight. I was looking for a place next to the animal rescue centre and with a swimming pool. The hotel is literally 1 min from the wildlife rescue centre, I really recommend you the visit! The hotel pool is huge!!! Room was very big. And it takes 15 mins to go the airport. I recommend this place.

“Convenient to airport with wonderful pool and gardens”
We stayed here overnight after a long haul flight from London which arrived late afternoon so just needed somewhere local to airport to recover before travelling on to La Fortuna. Hotel is less than a 30mins drive from car rentals. Lovely grounds and gardens. The swimming pool is a main feature. Our bedroom was huge and overlooked pool, gardens and main building. Evening meal was pizza which were good and breakfast very nice. Would definitely recommend as a quiet and pretty spot to stay if you want to be close to airport after or before flights. It would have been nice to have a little longer here.

The pool was beautiful and it had close access to the wildlife rescue centre. 25 mins from airport which was convenient.
