Guests help each other to find the place and get inside. A small label would help if a sign is too expensive. Some times, you do not get an access code and the host does not respond to call. So, you step in front of the door that you identified with neighbour's help.

Had to ask the neighbours the location of the house since we couldn't find it even with the instructions given. Room was ok! Although the matress you could feel the springs on your back, so it seemed to be very worn out. Lots of noise from other guests at the house. For one night it was ok.

I booked the private double room ensuite very last minute which was hassle free and also possible to check in early. The whole house has been decorated and equipped with lots of love and little details. Very pleasant atmosphere and spottless clean. I instantly felt like home. The bed was super comfy and I had the best sleep in a long time! Also Maria was super helpful getting all my laundry done in time and helping me spreading out all my stuff to dry as I have been hiking in the rain for a few days, so everything was just soaked. Furthermore Matthias was available via whats app for any questions or translation help. I'm very grateful for this beautiful little home away from home. Highly recommended! Thank you so much again! “Welcoming guesthouse with a wonderful character and personality perfect for staying before a flight”
Extremely well located for flying from San Jose Airport the next day. Took the stress right out of the process. It is a hostel/guesthouse style accommodation, but the hosts have gone to such great lengths to make it a pleasant and welcoming place to stay that it didn't seem like one. The building had a real personality, the staff working there were helpful and kind and every effort had been made to make visitors welcome and to give more information about the surrounding neighbourhood, where to eat, where to shop etc.

“Would stay here again - great service from the host!”
Unfortunately we were only there for about 6 hours as we were catching a super early flight, so didn't get a full experience at Casa Lapa. However Natalia was just wonderful & so so helpful, which made a huge difference for us working with short time frames. The housekeeper was not as friendly but this may have been a language barrier. The room & bathroom was lovely & clean, and we had all we need. The decor & armosphere of the place was also very cute! Thank you Natalia :)

Great location close to the airport, perfect for a night stay. The host was incredible and made us feel like home, went above and beyond helping us with other travel related stuff. The facilities were clean, bedding and towels as well. Great value for money.
