The hotel is directly in the centre of the town, which itself is quaint with narrow streets and interesting architecture. Check in was simple (online in advance) and our room was lovely, equipped with all we needed, including air conditioning. We were warned that the lift was comically slow, and it was! We arrived by bicycle and our host was happy to store these securely in a nearby location for us. Arriving in a car might be a little more challenging due to the town's dimensions, although we did see parking available. We enjoyed the town's bars and restaurants, and had a tasty late night burger at the hotel itself. Lovely breakfast in the morning and no trouble retrieving the bikes. We left feeling refreshed and happy to have stayed here.

“Excellent.”
We loved the breakfast, I would describe it as continental. Plenty of choice of cereal, bread, meat and cheese. I particularly Liked the granola and the yoghurt was absolutely delicious. We had a double bed which was super comfy and large. He room was small.but very clean. If we had any issues they were sorted out quickly and efficiently by the staff. Family run and they cared about you having a good stay. Air-conditioning was quiet and effective . We had a lovely stay.

“A week at The Romandre”
Extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. (Lack of English made some of this tricky but fun!!!). The room (and ensuite) were a good size and the bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty continental buffetstyle with plenty to choose from, including lots of local produce. Easy (free) carparking nearby means this was a great location to explore the island from. The town is NOT a touristy spot at all, just a chance to settle in and soak up the local atmosphere but with easy access to everywhere else. The hotel is next to a square, with a couple of small bars, which seemed to be a key spot for locals to gather-including dancing on a Friday evening!

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Romandre. The hotel staff were incredibly kind to us. We felt at home but only better. The hotel is located in the town of Alaior, which is fairly central on the island. The airport is only a 15-20 minute drive from the hotel. There are several beaches nearby as well as shops. On Wednesday afternoons there is a small market with local artisans. I will choose this hotel again for my future trips to the island of Menorca. I highly recommend it.
