“New, fun experience to be in the desert!”

The property has a large outdoor, but covered communal space. Tea, coffee, dates and a few games are continually available there. I like that there is a lovely place to hang out, besides our room. It also has electrical outlets. After dinner they also set up a fire nearby in case you want to sit by the fire. It was nice that there were a variety of activity options available. We chose camel rides (15 minutes was long enough for us) and sand bikes (quads). The quads were super fun and I wish we had booked them for longer. We only did 30 minutes and at that point you are just getting into it! They also have small ones for kids. Our 11 year old didn’t want to stop! Lunch with a Bedouin family was definitely worth it. And the kids also enjoyed the bow shooting activity. Most people while we were there chose to stay just one night. We are happy that we chose to stay for two nights. We played games and could just slow down and enjoy our activities in a relaxed manor. Also, really fun to see the stars at night in the desert.

The welcome from the local manager was very cold, without the usual sense of hospitality found among Omanis. The night was not peaceful, with quad bike noise from other camps until 11 p.m.

“Excellent”

Quite comfortable for a hotel in the middle of the desert, with a magnificent sunset and a campfire that brought the whole camp together to chat. A special mention to the buffet staff who were fantastic, incredibly welcoming, and amazingly kind. I highly recommend speaking with them for an even more enjoyable stay. Very nice place to stay in the dessert. I guess there are some places further deep in there but this worked well for us. Very pleasant check-in experience, good food (dinner / breakfast). Nice place to see stars, sundown, sunrise.

“One night in the desert of Waheba Sands”

We visited the camp in low season, so the experience might be very different from those visiting during high season. The tent was very hot in the evening. I chose to sleep outside which was really nice. Besides my daughter and myself, there were only two more people that night. We shared the cost of pick up and desert safari and sunset tour. The dinner and breakfast were included in the price, which was one of the reasons why we chose that camp. The food was very good.

Spending a night in the desert was amazing. We left our car at a designated parking area and were picked up by the owner (5 OMR). We were the only guests that day. The food was good, and the staff was very nice and helpful. The huts were nicely decorated but had no air conditioning, so at times, it got very hot. We went sand drifting, which was incredible, and ended the day with a campfire and stargazing.

“Feel real, Omani Bedouin hospitality”

The hospitality of the staff at the camp was wonderful and warm. The camp is quiet and perfectly suited to the surrounding natural environment. The breakfast and dinner were simple and reasonable, and the accommodation tents were comfortable. I highly recommend this place for couples and families. Booking a nighttime trip from the camp to the stargaze in the heart of the desert was an exceptional experience for us.
