“Solid desert experience”

I liked this camp. I believe a camp in the middle of the desert shouldn't be too luxurious and comfortable - it should still have the camp feel. So it was just like that. I really enjoyed the campfire, delicious tea and coffee and, mostly, company of travelers from all over the world. The owner, Hamood, also joined us to play oud and sing songs. The host (also the cook) was also very nice and actualy cooked very well. The location is also great - a bit further from the other camps, so it's quieter and very nice to look at the sunrise and walk around.

“Fantastic stay! One of the highlights of the trip”

If you want a desert experience, this is the place for you. It was amazing and our family (with two children) had a memorable time. We arrived an hour and a half late for our pick-up, but we were warmly welcomed by Hamood. He was very friendly, funny, and kind. He and his staff went to great lengths to make our desert experience fantastic! Hamood took us on a camel ride, which was fantastic. We participated in an off-road driving activity on the sand dunes with Hamood, and we loved him because he drove so fast and gave us an amazing ride! The views and sunsets from the dunes were spectacular. Our tent had a stunning view! It was very comfortable and we loved everything! And the food was the best meal we've ever had in Oman. We loved EVERYTHING about this summer camp! And I'm so glad we booked here. It was absolutely worth everything. It was fantastic, and the owner is a very kind person! I would definitely recommend this place to all my acquaintances who want to visit Oman.

Hamood was a fantastic host and became our good friend. We liked the comfortable tent, the jeep ride, a delicious dinner and a night by the fire with an oud guitar, stars and a very good chat with him and other guests. I recommend him for a great desert experience and introduction to Omani culture. I hope to come more.

This is an authentic experience in the desert! Hamood and his brother and good hosts and make you feel home. He food for dinner and breakfast is delicious!! Hamood is very helpful and personally he took care of me, looking for me a taxi till the Moment I found it. Really one of my best experience!

Just the best! Hamood is a local and arranges everything for the guests. He stays and entertains the guests through out the stay. The camp is actually located a bit away from other camps. He's friendly, professional and a hard working professional. Blindly book this and experience Wahina Sands in it's truest form. Hamood knows what he does and go in for a surprising experience.

We had an amazing time at Hamood’s camp! The tent was clean and comfortable. The food was so delicious also with vegetarian options! We did dune bashing and sunrise camel ride both unforgettable experiences. Hamood, Salim and all other people we’ve met were so hospitable and kind, thank you for you all!😊

The camp area is secluded and distant from other camps, a perfect place to watch stars at night. Host Hamood and his brother Salem were kind and delightful to be with. They are a great host, very interactive and entertaining. Food was good and is 8 omr per person, Mansour is a great cook and is very helpful. Camel rides a musst. We did a sunrise tour, and it was the best experience of my whole trip in Oman. The place is very safe and 5g mobile internet available with omantel.

“Nice camp”

The tent had 3 beds , very clean . We had good sleep although it was very hot after 9am but it is not an issue since we checked out and left around 10am. The host Mahood and his brother Rashid are very friendly and good guys. They provided us everything we wanted. We didnt drive 4x4 car so they picked up us from the meeting points and take us to the camp after 15mins We had an amazing camel ride to watch sunrise from 5.30am for an hour.

“Ideal one night stay in the desert!!”

Local experience in an amazing landscape setting. Hamood is such a lovely host and he helped in any way he could. He organised a lovely bonfire for all, and even sang to us with his guitar. Thank you!!

Hamood Camp is the best in Wahabi Sands and probably the best in every desert in the world. Hamood is the best host ever, Salem is a ever-smiling super guy and Manjur is the world's best cook. It's amazing how good and kind this camp is. There were seven of us and we recommend every tour and activity.

“What a gem!”

We had an amazing stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this camp. The host, Hamood, is absolutely fantastic – truly one of a kind. He takes care of everything from start to finish. He picks you up at the Meeting Point and safely guides you to the camp, helps deflate the tires for driving on the sand, assists immediately if you get stuck in the dunes, and later helps you get back to the city, guiding you to the place where you can reinflate your tires and continue your journey. You never feel left alone – he is always there to help, calm, and support. The food at the camp was absolutely delicious. Dinner was excellent, breakfast was great as well, and special compliments go to the chef – the dal was outstanding. The camp is located a bit farther away from the others, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. There is real silence, beautiful views of the dunes, and plenty of space to just sit, relax, and admire the desert. The owner also helps organize any activities you might want and is incredibly easygoing and stress-free to communicate with. In the evening, you can sit together by the campfire, listen to him play music, sing, and even perform the Butterfly Dance – a truly magical and unforgettable experience. Such a fantastic experience! Hamood was wonderful. Couldn't have wished for a better experience.

Hamood is very friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, and he creates a wonderful program for his guests. We stayed for one night with our three small children, and everything was perfectly organized. In the evening, we went on a sunset dune drive by jeep — the kids absolutely loved it. Dinner was excellent, rich, and served as a buffet with plenty of choices. After dinner, we enjoyed the evening campfire. The tents were clean, cozy, and very comfortable. In the morning, we experienced camel riding and quad bikes, and Hamood then drove us back to the meeting point. Throughout our stay, water, tea, coffee, and fruit were available at all times. If you are choosing from the wide range of desert camps in the area, you really can’t go wrong with Hamood. An outstanding experience from start to finish.
