Great place to stay in the dessert. Very calm and You can have an amazing view on sunrise and sunset. We have really appreciated feeding the animals and also a fire with some stories about Bedouin’s life.

Our stay at this Bedouin camp in the Wahiba Sands desert was truly unforgettable. The camp is run by a wonderful husband and wife who make you feel welcome from the very first moment. The owner’s wife kindly picked us up at the desert entrance parking area and drove us to the camp for a very reasonable price, which was extremely helpful and convenient. The food was outstanding. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, and it was honestly hard to say which one was better. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, giving us an authentic taste of local cuisine. The desert experience itself was magical. The sunsets and sunrises were simply perfect, creating breathtaking views over the dunes. The camel ride was another highlight of our stay, well organized and offered at a fair and affordable price. Everything about this camp was excellent – the hospitality, the atmosphere, the food, and the overall experience. The value for money is exceptional, and we truly felt that we received much more than we paid for. We would highly recommend this Bedouin camp to anyone visiting Oman. It is a unique and memorable experience that we will never forget.

It says Wahiba Bedouin Rustic camp and this is where you should calibrate yourself with expectation, but it was a really enjoyable, nice and calm stay, we liked it a lot. Don't expect luxury, but will get a down-to-earth, nice dessert experience. Team there was great and very kind in all aspects. Great dinner buffet and activities offered. Camel riding was fun.

Friendly staff and manager, a bit further away from town than other camps, so you can really isolate yourself if you wish to.

“Really funny stuff big tents and good food”

Stuff was really friendly and funny and they teach us how to write our names in Arabic!!! The tents were very big and comfortable. The food was really good and it was good selection, so we recommend to buy a dinner😉

“Desert experience”

Great way how to experience the desert. We have enjoyed everything during our 1 night stay, the sand dunes, sunset, evening fire, sunrise. The dinner and breakfast were also very good and we tasted the local food. It was a mild experience to the Bedu style of life with modern touch such as running water and toilets :-) We have also enjoyed the Quad bike ride on spot in the dunes.

“Nice experience for one night”

We booked the room not the tent and we really enjoyed the beautiful view. There are only 2 rooms like this and they located outside the camp but only a few meters away, so you can easily walk it. So if you don’t like the stuffiness of a camp i highly suggest taking this one and has sockets where to charge ect while most tents don’t have. The dinner had a really big choice and we really enjoyed it. The walk to the sand dunes is about 20min and you can watch a beautiful sunset.

Meals (breakfast and dinner) good. Coffee and tea always available. Location excellent - far enough in the Sands to be peaceful at night. And good to be able to drive further in to the Sands . Grandchildren loved everything - sleeping in the Bedu tents, feeding goats and sheep, camel rides, henna on hands, campfire at night. Owner (Mr Obaid) was very helpful, informative, kind, amusing. Really good. His sons were also great.

The family tent was big and it was nice to have a terrace and a bathroom outside. They lend us sledges for kids to play in the dunes. The best part was the animals feeding in the morning (goats and camels).

Exceptional hospitality from Bedouin family; easy to drive a basic 4WD to; fun feeding goats and camels, close to a main dune ridge for sunrise & set; camp fire stories and discussion were rewarding; tent was very comfortable, food was excellent

The kids loved milking the goats, giving food to camels and pet the horses. We also enjoyed the quad riding and camel riding. Food was very good and staff very friendly ! Highly recommended

As soon as we arrived to the pick up point in Bidiyya, Obid welcomed us in a warm and gentle way, and gave us some information about the desert while driving us on his 4WD to his “Bedouin rustic camp” The camp offered us a truly authentic and exciting experience: we slept in a bedouin tent, we watched the sunset and the sunrise from the dunes, we got to try camel meat for dinner, we had the chance to try some bedouin dances and learn about bedouin culture at the after-dinner bonfire and to feed little lambs the following morning. The place offers the chance to participate to other extra activities at an extra cost: we chose to do dune bashing and it was totally worth it! Obid, Makela, Mohammed, Abdullah and all who contributed in some way to our stay in the Wahiba Desert will forever stay in our hearts: the way they made us feel welcomed and their kindness and patience in answering to all our curiosities and questions were priceless. We’re deeply grateful for having had the chance to live this wonderful experience.
