Peaceful, stunning location; you can walk straight out on to the sands and into the dunes, and book private tours and desert experiences direct with the very helpful owner. An extremely comfortable house to return to for rest, relaxation and shade (and delicious treats freely delivered daily) after desert activities. We were welcomed incredibly warmly by the owner and staff, our children adored it and we all want to return. We would highly recommend this property to families.

Our stay at Villa R61 was simply exceptional! I chose it over a regular tent, and it was absolutely the right decision. The villa is luxurious, incredibly spacious, and beautifully designed with two comfortable bedrooms, a large outdoor area, a private pool, and a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. One absolute must-do is the sunset activity — it’s truly magical and unforgettable! The tour guide was exceptionally kind and made the experience even more special. The owner deserves a special thank-you for his warm welcome and personal attention he even came to meet us in person, which we greatly appreciated. The entire staff was so friendly and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everything exceeded my expectations from the villa itself to the hospitality. “Loved every moment”

Wow , wow. What a fabulous night we had in the R61 chalet. The experience of being on the edge of the desert in this beautiful apartmentent equipped with everything we could possibly need and more. When we saw the pool and auoer comfortable outdoor space, we fell in love with this palce. It made our stay super special. The owner was so kind and welcoming, staying in touch with us and bringing us tea and coffee. We felt very privileged to stay in such a lovely place. We could see the owner has got a lot of love for it. We also ordered the sunset experience, which was wonderful. Ahmed was so friendly and polite taking us to the traditional desert house, ride the camel and sand boarding. We loved the experience and will definitely be back.

Premises were very clean, a lot of amenities in the chalet and everything in very good shape. Hospitality of host is amazing as well as the service of the housekeeper. Fantastic experience! We will definitely visit again.

“Chalet R61 was great!”

This was superb accomodation in the desert, reachable by regular car, behind u can find just the sand dunes and camels. The owner has spectacular attitude to all his guests, he provides everything what U can even dream of to make U satisfied and happy. Vila has everything, pool, spacious inside and outside. And it is really clean and beautiful. Thanks a lot for great dinner and super trip. Also I need to mention, that communication with the owner was very prompt and friendly. This place is definitely place U would like to visit more than once.

The owner of the property was so nice and took us to the chalet. The chalet was huge, clean and beautiful. Nothing to complain about, the activities arranged were great and we enjoyed the camel riding, Bedouin tent visit, 4x4 dune bashing and the exceptionally beautiful sunset. At night, the staff gave us to try local cardamom coffee, thyme leaves tea and local sweets, dates and cakes. Everything was so nicely arranged. I love my stay in this property.

R61 Chalet exceeded all our expectations. The place is immaculately clean and spacious. Amenities are top notch. The owner is very kind and communication with him is very good. We also availed of their sunset tour and our family enjoyed it specially the kids. Our tour guide/driver is also very kind and a great companion. The accomodation can also be reached by a non-4x4 vehicle so it is also a plus ☺️

This apartment is truly perfect in every way - size, quality, location, amenities, location and the most open and friendly host, who recommends a trip with the best desert guide - Ali. I rarely give reviews and almost never give 10/10, but this time I would give 20 if I could! I confirm - it would be worth visiting Oman just for this apartment!

“Exceptional chalet, best place to come with friends and family”

Our stay at chalet was amazing we had a wonderful time. The grounds were impeccable and simply beautiful especially from the rooftop terrace the sunset was stunning, it was just so beautiful. We loved the spacious atmosphere of the chalet - the cozy and relaxing surroundings and private pool. It had everything to enjoy the chalet and was well located. The facilities and the pool was a plus to our stay. The owner and his staff are very kind and helpful , owner personally came to meet us and was very welcoming. Dunes safari was also arranged by the owner which was amazing to see the sunset in the desert. Will definitely recommend to others and looking forward to coming back with the family for longer stay.

The whole house is simply amazing, its very modern, and comfortable, you can see they paid attention to detail when designing the chalet. The swimming pool and rooftop were great as well, really enjoyed the pool after a hot day. The owner and his staff are very kind and helpful, and cooked the best meal I had in Oman.
