“A very devastating and humiliating experience”

We booked a deluxe apartment with three rooms for 12 people. We arrived at the hotel address at 3.00 pm but there was no signboard on the building so it was difficult to find it . When we finally found it , the main entrance was locked and card operated. We got in after knocking it multiple times as a cNo reception , no one was available to speak . After 25 minutes of hassle and requesting the cleaner multiple times , he woke up the manager, who simply said that all rooms are booked and our apartment was doubly booked snd we should find place somewhere else . We had argument , he was very rude , we travelled 8 hours to reach this Hotel , it ruined all our plans , kids were very disappointed and disturbed. We reported this to Booking.com who simply advised to self book somewhere else . Very devastating and unacceptable behaviour and experience

It’s spacious, well maintained, very clean and tidy , friendly staff .Mosque,supermarket , laundry , Barbar’s shop and main road on just few steps from the property , 7 minutes drive from Masjid Nabawi . It is really a VIP place to spend time at . My kids really loved it .

The amount of space just feels so luxurious as well as the fixtures and fittings of the property! This property is beautiful and spacious and excellent value for money and eases your mind and body after your physically demanding umrah. It very clean and the staff are very friendly and provide you with everything that you need. The property is secure and your mind is at ease.

Spacious room with good facilities, has a microwave, fridge and cutlery which is good. The bedroom has a massive TV, the room is big and spacious with a good space to sit with the family. The beds and sofas are comfortable. The hotel is walking distance from a main road with restaraunts, there is a 24 hour supermarket downstairs which is good if you need to buy anything at any time in the night. There is a masjid just 2 mins walk from the hotel. The host is also very friendly and willing to help, he can arrange taxis to and from Masjid Nabawi for a fair price. He is also able to arrange transport to other cities, he helped us find a taxi to Jeddah for a very good price.

My stay at Eqamh VIP Hotel was deeply disappointing. During checkout, they forced us out before Salah 12:00 PM, despite my humble request for a short extension. My mother-in-law is in a wheelchair and my father-in-law is 70+, but they showed no empathy—only allowed us to stay if we removed all luggage before 12. The bathroom was in terrible condition, and even after multiple requests, they only fixed it partially. Housekeeping was a joke—they asked “What do you need?” instead of doing their job properly. Worse, the electric kettle and fridge didn’t work due to poor electrical wiring. We couldn’t even boil water or store food safely. And the location is far from Haram—without a vehicle, it's extremely difficult to manage. This was not a VIP experience at all—very poor service, no compassion, and a stressful stay overall. Not recommended.

“Neat and clean room with arrogant and bad mannered staff”

Lack of staff even didn't see receptionist during my stay as i visited several times reception after check in. The location was tricky, and the display board outside the building shows a different name. Received a message from the property that the checked out time is 11:00 AM, i replied that the check out time mentioned on booking.com is 12:00 PM. But they denied and asked to check out quickly before 11:00 AM.

The staff was very cooperative and warmly welcoming. It was a comfortable and relaxing stay. The room was neat and clean. Shoukat and Mukhtiar the staff were very helpful.

Great host, great hospitality and homely touch by the host. Host was very supportive and friendly.

When we arrived the reception staff said that the visa isn’t working and that we have to pay cash. They insisted that we go to the cash machine and withdraw money for payment. It was around 9pm. We were tired. We also insisted that we will only pay by card as agreed by booking.com. They weren’t happy. The next day they asked again. And again we said we will only pay by visa. On day 3 the owners 16 year old son was present and said he was tasked with getting payment from us and that the visa ‘ company’ is now working. The son insisted that we also pay the visa fees. We paid because we was fed up and disappointed at this point. On leaving they asked us to write a positive review. I declined but my son gave a positive review!
