“Very disappointing. Not worth the price.”
Staff tried hard but clearly was just helping out and did not really know what to do. Food was ok. Nice sunset view of the castle

“Great place to stay”
This is an unusual place to stay the night. The caves are beautifully set out being clean and comfortable. There’s a great view over to the castle which is an easy walk.(Our host actually kindly drove us there and we walked back). We were served a delicious meal which was plentiful! The caves are cool but our host did have a heater to keep us warm. The owners organise various treks. We were going to do a wadi walk but were told that it wasn’t safe due to recent rains. They were concerned for our safety. We did a walk in Dana Park which was one of the best things we’ve done in Jordan. Incredible views, beautiful wild flowers, expertly guided and a delicious lunch cooked on an open fire. They will happily organise transport if you don’t have a car.

“An Unforgettable Stay at 7 Caves Hotel”
Our stay at 7 Caves Hotel was truly unforgettable. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful — he even assisted us with a problem with our car tire, which we really appreciated. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, easily among the best we had during our time in Jordan. The view of the castle is simply stunning and adds a magical atmosphere to the place. Sleeping in a cave itself was such a unique and fascinating experience — something we will remember for a long time. Highly recommended!

Very nice place, original and memorable. Breakfast was super plentiful, and the staff was lovely. Great spot, you are off the main road in the middle of nowhere with a view of the old crusader castle, it’s a great place to wake up and soak in the view once you step outside

“Amazing”
This place is incredible! We stayed for 2 nights in this unique cozy cave. The hosts were incredible, helpful, kind and accommodating. The breakfast served each morning was super, huge spread of typical Jordan dishes, we also had the dinner one night that was lovely. Set in a stunning rural setting oposite the castle which is within walking distance, definly recommend to have a rental car. Thanks again 😇

Difficult to judge in terms of regular hotel rooms. You are sleeping in an old refurbished cave. Definetly worth a try for me. Very friendly host family and great food. Give it a try

“Uniques experience but not for winter-facilities not great so slightly over priced.”
Staying at this hotel is all about the unique experience of sleeping in a cave. We were the only guests as it was out of season, and we were looked after in the evening by the owner who was very hospitable and served us delicious food. The location for Shawbak castle is amazing as you are right at the foot with an amazing view.

“Stunning location (if tricky to access), wonderful service, novel experience”
The location is remote in terms of local amenities, but stunning for views of the impressive castle and landscape. Be prepared for driving some fairly steep hills if you have a rental car. The service was amazing - not enough could be done for us. We even had a choice of rooms. Very cold - but gas heaters in the room make that more comfortable. The rooms themselves are incredibly novel and fun, and the shared bathrooms are beautifully crafted, but the weather in December meant they too were very cold to use! Sage tea to die for, and usual dinner spread as offered by hotels in Jordan - meant, rice, hummus, bread, olives etc.
