The Azraq Lodge is a short distance from the Azraq Wetland Reserve. It offers accommodation in Al Azraq ash Shamālī. Originally a British military field hospital, the building was later transformed into the current lodge. There are 16 fully-equipped 1940's style rooms with views of the distant mud and sand flats of the Azraq Basin. All units include air conditioningand a seating area. Towels and bed linen are available. Eating at the Lodge is a special experience as the kitchen is run by a local women that prepare tasty home-made recipes. The property also offers packed lunches. Bike hire is available at the property and the area is popular for cycling. The nearest airport is Queen Alia International Airport, 76 km from Azraq Lodge.

The lodge and the team are really nice, you get some freshly cooked bread, in a wood oven, in the morning and you are close to the Wetlands! :) I recommand!

The quietest place I have ever stayed. Perfect peace, helpful staff, great location for exploring this very interesting area. Rooms are huge, balcony looks across the plains to distant water. Magical place. Loved the atmosphere and energy and also their genuine care for conservation of nature.

“Handy for the Basalt desert”
They allowed a late check in as we didn’t arrive until 02:45 due to a delayed flight. Room was great, bed comfy and shower ok. Location is handy for nature reserves and local castles.

“Great lodge, interesting location!”
A comfortable, newly redeveloped place in a very interesting building. They did the reconstruction of this lodge with great respect for its history (it is a former British military hospital). Great and spacious rooms, nice bed, good shower. Staff is very super friendly and attentive. Buffet dinner and breakfast are very nice too. They can arrange guides to the eastern desert.
