“Great accommodation for visit to Petra”

A delightful spot to spend 2 nights when visiting Petra. The accommodation is comfortable and clean.The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Communication with the camp was excellent and they will organise your transport needs. We had a good breakfast and evening meal. The evening meal is served in a big room set out traditionally with an open fire. The camp is in a great location near the back entrance to Petra and near Little Petra. There is a shuttle which takes you to the start of the monastery walk ( the walk to the monastery took us about 1 hour)and then you walk towards the main entrance. There is so much to see and it’s all very impressive. We loved it so much that we decided to walk back!

“Wonderful stay full of warmth, kindness and delicious food”

Wonderful stay. The food (especially the dinner) was delicious, the tents were super comfortable and had aircon/heating so we didn’t feel cold. Ideal location to get the 4x4s to the back entrance and Little Petra. What really made our stay though is the warmth and kindness of the people who work here. Sitting by the fire and getting to know Ahmed, his brother, Akash and others whilst sipping tea was undoubtedly the highlight. The whole place is full of warmth.

We had the most incredible stay, and couldn't recommend it any more. The perfect location beside Little Petra (5 minutes walk away). The host and his brother were incredibly charming and chatty hosts, and the other staff were super helpful too. Breakfast and particularly dinner were delicious. The lighting at night is magical, and our tent was incredibly comfortable. A must-stay when visiting Petra. Run by passionate individuals who truly care about their visitors, and a great spot for sharing stories with hosts and fellow travellers alike at night by the fire. We'll be back!

“Unique atmosphere. Highly suggested!”

The location is amazing, and the staff are very attentive to your needs. Dinner was excellent and served in a traditional Bedouin style. After dinner, the staff illuminated the surrounding rocks, creating a truly unique atmosphere. The lighting on the rocks offers an experience comparable to Petra by Night, saving both time and money, and you can enjoy it for free right after dinner while relaxing inside the camp. The camp is located directly in front of the back-door trail of Petra, where both the walking path and the shuttle are available

Staying in a typical hotel or apartment in Petra should be a crime; I highly recommend anyone visiting Petra to stay in a camp like the Little Petra Bedouin Camp. At Little Petra Bedouin Camp you get the experience of speaking to locals who live in the rural areas of Petra, and learn about life outside of the main bustling city of Wadi Musa. The rooms at the camp are very comfortable, and just what you expect at a desert camp. The camp also offers a big majlis (common sitting room) where dinners are held, and occasionally music is played. There is also the option of doing shisha here. The food offered at the camp is incredible. I have never had so much variety in dishes in a single dinner. The breakfasts are also great. As the camp was not busy at the time I was visiting, I was given a free upgrade to a room with a private bathroom (originally I booked a room with a shared bathroom). The staff are all incredibly welcoming and enjoy having long conversations with their guests. They are genuinely interested in learning about you, and also sharing information about Petra. They also offer you amazing Bedouin tea. The best part however, is the golden retriever Dhahab (which means gold in Arabic) which will run up to you before you even enter the gate to the camp.

“A warm welcome”

Everything! Ahmed welcomed me warmly and upgraded my room which was a nice surprise. I was the only guest staying on site that night and felt like a VIP. The dinner was delicious and the cabin was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't have time to fit Wadi Rum into my itinerary so staying at this camp felt like a great way to experience a Bedouin camp. I was able to park my car outside and the shuttle bus picked us up in the morning to take us to the back entrance to start the hike into Petra.

Gorgeous set up and very attentive staff. Food was absolutely delicious! Incredible location, highly recommend!

I was kindly upgraded by Ahmed, although I was shown the tent I had initially booked which was very overpriced at £60 a night so I’m very grateful that I was placed in a nicer room. Water was hot and the heater worked well. Jihad and Ahmed were both lovely and kept me company as I was the sole guest that night.

Beautiful evening scenery of thousands lights lit around the camp, comfy resting place where you can have shisha and tea. Amazing beds and overall vibe of the place is amazing.
