It was a bit cold at night, but weather conditions outside were harsh.

The accomodation is lovely, bedding and a towel per person was provided, the fire pit was superb (our fav feature!) and the kitchen fully equipped to cook a warming meal. The host was super friendly and helpful. He immediately came when one of the taps burst and fixed it for us. In short - everything we needed for a lovely weekend away in the mountains!

Uncomplicates check-in and -out, good location inbetween balcony walk and southern summit hike, nice terrace and small supermarket close-by

“Authentic stay with a Kind Host”

Very helpful welcome! Our car broke down and they did everything they could to help us. we requested a dinner which was delicious ! Very close to the balcony walk! Nice coffee shop 2 cafe just around the corner. There is a kitchen available on the property as well.

Beautiful location overlooking Jabal Shams. A simple setup with a well-equipped kitchen and close to hiking routes that we were planning on doing over the 2 days. Excellent value for money!

Real Omani experience. Saif made us feel so welcome. Showed us around and took us to see the sunset. Made a fire for us in the evening. Traditional Omani breakfast was lovely. Beds and bedding super comfortable.

Very beautifull, spaceous and private place to stay, high in the mountains with awesome views. Friendly and kind host who you can call whenever you want even when you get lost by finding the place, he will assist you by phone very well to make sure you get there. My opinion, the safest way to get there is by 4x4. Not far from the balcony walk.

The hospitality was excellent. The owner welcomed us with dates and Arabic coffee. He helped us making our trip easier. The beds were really comfy and the place is really cute to stay.

“Good place to stay when visiting Jebel Shams”

We loved the place, close to the balcony walk. You can have dinner in the nearby resort. It wasn’t easy to find as google maps messed us around so just follow the descriptions online. It’s before the resort on the left hand side where there are a couple more houses, it has a clear sign on the wall. Payment was with honesty box. Owner was waiting for us when we got there and made us feel very welcome. We liked having the kitchen/fridge and the fire at night was wonderful. My only remark would be the beds. The mattresses were very firm. Too firm for me. We did the balcony walk in the morning ( best in the morning with the sunlight). Definitely recommend it but only if you like a firm bed!
