“2 nights in Al Hamra”

Amazing place. Old Oman style. We felt like travelling in history. Clean, simple and well mantained place, recovered from an old family buiding, rebuilt using traditional metods. Comfortable and clean. Mr Mahmood is a great guide. You can plan trekking, hiking and even trips inside Oman, he is a very dedicated and nice person.

“Not our best stay in Oman”

The location is the plus of this hotel. It is a beautifully renovated mudhouse.

Quaint and renovated hotel in old part of Al Hamra - easy to walk to see the beautiful old buildings. Comfortable beds and very clean bathroom with good hot water.

“Place with a soul”

The hotel is in the renovated, original omani old house and it definitely has some spirit. It has a lot of place to share time with other guests inside and a big terrace with great view to the old village and mountains. The bathroom is pretty big, the room not so much but enough for short stay (no closet or table). If you want to feel the atmosphere of the old times it is a place for you.

“Extremely comfortable”

The inn was of mud brick and nicely decorated. Our room was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely and hot. The location was great, near a deserted mud brick village and a date plantation. It was a short walk into town. From the Inn it’s a short drive to Misfah La Abriyyin, which is definitely worth a visit.

“Great historical clay house”

The guest house is a traditional clay house. Very charming and with a lot of charcter. So far it is the only house on the street that has been renewed. Hopefully more will follow. The owner is lovely and very helpful with anything. We talked to him and he recommended some things to do around the town and also told us about the history of the house. The guest house is very quiet since there are only about ten rooms and it has a wonderful atmosphere because of the clay. From the rooftop terrace there is a gorgeous view over the oasis

A beautiful traditional house with clean rooms. tea and coffee and water are for free in the house. the host is not in the house but immediately when you need something he will be there

The food provided was good. It was an interesting location on the edge of an uninhabited village. Close proximity to Jebel Shams and to Wadi Al Nakhr. Mahmoud gave us an excellent trip through the Wadi. Mahmoud can organise all sorts of trips.

This accommodation exceeded our expectations. The hotel is in a beautiful location amidst the ruins of the old Al Hamra. It has an excellent atmosphere. The hotel does not have a reception, but the owner will come when called. Faisal was very friendly and also told us many interesting things about the history of the place. Can highly recommend it to everyone.
