The warm hospitality here was excellent! We had a very comfortable two-day stay. Lovely views from the rooftop, where it’s set up for enjoying the surrounds with tables/chairs. Easy parking; walking distance to the ruins of the old village, the museum and the wadi/palm grove. Great aircon and wifi. Highly recommended!

“Quiet, cozy and comfortable weekend getaway in the village”
Mr. Khalfan, who has converted his family home to this modern and fully equipped guest house amidst the ancient village of Al Hamra, is truly a person with vision and passion. This place is even better than it looks in pictures. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained. You get views of the mountains and the palm trees, as the guesthouse is perfectly nestled between the two on an elevation. The caretaker was amazing and really good at her job, from helping us check-in to laying out breakfast and looking after us. We even had a minor plumbing issue, which she took care of. The Omani breakfast is homemade, which Mr. Khalfan gets from his residence. It is quite a spread yet simple and delicious. Kudos to him and his family, who run this place, and may they do so for many decades to come.

Lovely guest house, charming owner with helpful tips and suggestions. Great roof terrace and guest areas. Slept well. Decent breakfast. Great location and convenient for the excellent Bait al Safah culture museum and surrounding village and the charming Misfah. Would recommend.

Nice accomodation, which was lovely renovated in typical omani style. From the roof top terrace you have a stunning view over Al Hamra and the surrounding mountains. The breakfaste was good with a broad selection of products (typical omani food, fruits, toast bread, pancakes, juices, coffee)

“Fabulous stay in Al Hamra!”
All you can want out of a stay in the old part of Al Hamra, a superb mix between traditional and a modern touch. I highly recommend Mountain View for staying a few days in the area, it’s totally worth it, from the look and feel of the place, to the big terrace and the extremely friendly staff!

The great location, its just 20min walk to a view point if you want to relax and enjoy the night there along its nearby of grocery shops The great hospitaly of the staff and house owners, they will always make sure you have everything you need along with helping you and suggestion places for your journey

NICE LOCATION AND EASY TO REACH. Beautiful cosy and cleanest rooms.. MR. KHALFAN THE OWNER IS THE SWEETEST AND KIND GENTLEMAN. Breakfast was good too. OBVIOUSLY RECOMMENDED FOR A QUIET AND PEACEFUL STAY.. One can visit nearby sites which are wonderful too.. A value for money. THANK YOU.

“Hidden gem and must go!”
Old family home that was restored into a modern comfy and still very personal, small hotel. Extremely clean with a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace that everyone can use. Small swimming indoor pool that is also fun for the kids. But above all the outstanding hospitality and kindness of the host. We stayed several nights and it is well situated to reach Jebel Shams, Wadi Ghul, Misfat, Al Hamra itself (visit the museum and the palm gardens!), Jabrin Castle etc. Highly recommend this hotel!
