Great apartment in an excellent location. The owners live on the property and provided lots of assistance when needed, but were not obtrusive. The apartment is located a couple blocks from downtown, four blocks from a Kronan store, and two blocks from the city pool facilities. This was my 9th visit to Akureyri and I know the city pretty well. I don't think you could get a better location, nor do I think you will get better hosts. It was a pleasure to stay at Helgimagri Apartment. I will try to rent this apartment on my next trip to Aureyri in June of 2026.

“Cosy and in a great position close to town.”
I liked the position of the unit, although it was hard to find at first, I needed to phone the owner for instructions but found it soon enough. The bathroom is very small but no problem for 2 nights. Great exercise walking up and down the big hill to the town. Glad we had access to Netflix as well.

“Quite comfortable and cute”
It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the supermarket was a 10 minute walk and 10 minutes walk f to the city centre. Check-in is very easy. There are parking spaces near the house. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils.

Friendly and helpful hosts living upstairs. Fairly close to centre and other sights, including excellent town swimming pool. Comfortable beds. Kitchen big enough to cook and eat in. Parking in drive.

Really well equipped, great location (although up a hill) comfy beds. Owner lives above and was friendly and very helpful but not intrusive Great having s washing machine and indoor aider as well as outdoor line

“Cosy apartment in Akuyeri”
Accommodation was comfortable & very spacious for us as a couple. Location was really convenient for downtown Akuyeri as it was only about 10 minutes walk to restaurants & bars yet in a nice quiet residential area.

“Great value for money in Central Akureyri”
Great staying option in Central Akureyri ! We had a nice apartment to ourselves with a living room, big kitchen and a separate workstation. The host was excellent and ensured we had a comfortable stay. All attractions were within 1km from the house.
