“My best Icelandic memory”

My best stay in Iceland and something that I will cherish throughout my lifetime. The guesthouse is perfect and you will get whatever you want. Its beautifully designed and a lot of thought went into each and everything. But the reason why will it be so memorable is the warmth and the hospitality of Elisabeth and Stefan. The best hosts that I have ever came across. No surprises why they have got such a high rating across all the platforms. In our 10 days itinerary, we chose the rest day in this guesthouse and thankfully we did the best thing.

A real highlight of our trip to Iceland. Set in a stunning location, Elisabeth made us feel very welcome and prepared for us a delicious meal. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Iceland.

“Perfect farm retreat”

Now this was the best stay we had in all of our Iceland trip and Elisabeth was the nicest, most welcoming person we met. The guesthouse has everything you could need and it is incredibly clean. I also recommend to have a walk above the farm - there is a nice gorge with a great view of the entire valley, with many a sheep along the way. And the jars of homemade cookies in the kitchen area and homemade jam for breakfast really sealed the deal for me. 11/10

We traveled around Iceland as a family (my husband, our daughter, and I) and spent one of the coziest, most memorable nights of our trip at Guesthouse Baegisa. 🏡 This is not just a guesthouse — it's a true family home with a separate cottage for guests, surrounded by a landscape that reminded us of the Alps. Everything is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully arranged. The host is an incredibly kind and warm-hearted woman, and it was a pleasure to talk to her. In the morning, we were served a delicious homemade breakfast, made with care — a welcome break from standard hotel buffets. 🐑 The highlight for our daughter was a nearby farm where she was allowed to bottle-feed baby lambs. She squealed with joy — and so did we. One of the most heartwarming moments of our entire trip. 🚘 Great location, especially if you're traveling through the north. Parking is right by the house. If you're looking to experience authentic Icelandic hospitality, surrounded by silence, nature, and warmth — this is the place. No exaggeration — the best stay we had in Iceland. 🧦 And the selection of warm wool socks available for guests was the cutest thing I've ever seen in a hotel ❤️

The owner was really kind. Breakfast was really Icelandic and homemade as well as the dinner and very good. The place is beautiful and not too far from Akureyri. Highly suggested.

everything - elisabeth was so friendly and helpful; place was cosy, peaceful and quiet yet close to town; breakfast was superb (amazing homemade granola and granola bar); homemade cookies were delicious! only regret is that we didn't manage to try dinner as we could not book it in time, and that we couldn't stay any longer 11/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone, thank you again elisabeth!

The guesthouse was located at a perfect location, relatively near akureyri but it felt remote enough, surrounded by mountains, with a small waterfall and farm animals around the area. The host is very accommodating and friendly and made us feel directly at home. The room itself was quite spacious and felt modern, while the kitchen was very well equipped and cosy!

Beautiful guesthouse on a farm close to the ring road, very clean, cozy rooms with a charming, personal decor. Elisabeth was an extraordinary, very welcoming hostess, and her dishes were wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious with many homemade ingredients (e.g. bread, jam, etc.). It was definitely the best and most convivial accommodation during our stay in Iceland.

Elisabeth was very accommodating and friendly. She made us beautiful breakfast in the morning and had delicious homemade cookies in jars in the kitchen. You could also find card games and books to amuse yourself. And not to mention the beautiful dogs that come to you for cuddles. My teenage daughter loved it. I recommend staying here, kids will love it too.
