Boutique hotel vibe in all common areas, very clean and comfortable

Exactly what I needed for me & my teen. Cozy atmosphere, everything clean & tidy. When something unexpected came up I booked another night & would happily come back another time.

“Great location and kitchen facilities”

In the highlands. Very good kitchen facilities, 4 cooking stations so able to cook independently. Lots of space! 10 mins out of town. Comfortable bed and shared bathroom in hallway.

The hotel is amazing. Nice new rooms and bathrooms, very cute cozy seating area. And super clean well equipped kitchen.

Peace, it's great to be away from traffic, and away from the partying in the city center. I've stayed here many times through the years, often solo, so it's often been in the same basic little room with 1 bunk bed. But now it's been renovated (and probably also the other rooms), and it's super nice, so cute, good bed, it was awesome.

It was close by to shops etc. we had a car so it was pretty easy to get around. Very good facilities. Would stay again

The shared spaces are so beautifully decorated, and to our surprise, there was a kitchen with everything you needed to cook (as long as you clean up and are respectful of the space) Everything felt really clean, the cleaning staff were very nice and helpful and made sure that we were all comfortable Would definitely come again, the price is quite reasonable

“Fab stay”

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel in Akureyri — it really exceeded expectations. The whole place was clean, modern, and had a great atmosphere. It felt safe and well-organised, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was ideal for exploring Akureyri and the surrounding area. The social areas were a big highlight — a really nice vibe where you could relax after a busy day, and it never felt too crowded or chaotic. Everything was well thought out, from the facilities to the general layout. Breakfast was also a real bonus — plenty of choice and more than enough to set you up for the day. Overall, it was great value for money and we’d definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and easy base in North Iceland.

Comfortable room, good kitchen facilities with a clear system for responsible waste management which I really appreciate, and several nice/newer dual shower and toilet rooms so never had to wait. Cleaners worked hard to keep shared areas clean. Great location and convenient with grocery stores a few minutes walk in either direction and a comfortable walk into town.

Oven, waffle iron and electric beater would have been nice.

Easy access, super simple check-in with the codes received early on, very autonomous. Beds were also very comfortable - had a great night!

I have not stayed at many hostels but this one was really nice. The common area is so "homie" and the rooms are nice. The bathrooms upstairs are excellent and I will most definitely be staying there again :)

“Great value for money”

It was very accessible, and we didn't have any problems with getting into town and also to and from the airport.. the beds were really comfortable and clean, someone's always cleaning the common areas and it's good value for money.. staff was really friendly and helpful and the check in/check out was so easy.. I would stay here again if I ever came back to Akureyri and I would recommend this to friends. 💗
