“A Peaceful and Authentic Stay – Perfect for Families”

We stayed one night at Akumal Caribe and absolutely loved it. The bungalows are very authentic, with a cozy and well-thought-out layout both in the bedroom and the bathroom. Everything is quite simple and basic, but at the same time very functional and comfortable—a very good design from the 70s but we felt completely at ease. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. The atmosphere is very peaceful, especially at night, which makes it an ideal place to relax. It’s also perfect for families traveling with children. Another big plus is that you can park right in front of each bungalow, making it very convenient for loading and unloading luggage. What truly made our stay special was the staff. They were outstanding—extremely friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. We would definitely come back!

Akumal Bay is a magical place, and Hotel Akumal Caribe is the perfect place to experience it all. Well established Hotel with mature and lush vegetation, palm trees and gardens that makes it all the more beautiful and authentic place. Staff is amazing and very helpful ❤️👌

The hospitality was great. Daniela was very informative and helpful. The "Del Mar" restaurant was very good. The food was delicious and very authentic. The pool looking out to the Ocean was fantastic. Hoping to return.

Fantastic location, our rooms were straight onto the beach. Sitting on the beach or by the pool gave you a lovely outlook over the ocean, with a beautiful breeze, needed in June.

“Good location though a bit dated”

Location excellent, 2-3 minutes walk to Akumal beach. Free parking which was useful as otherwise you have to pay to park near the beach. Close to the dive centre where we arranged snorkelling and could get the first trip of the day (we left at 8.15 and saw about 10 turtles and a ray). Big room with AC and free water in a cooler so not generating lots of empty bottles. Very big swimming pool for guests which was usually quiet.

The location is perfect as it's right on Akumal Beach which is a great beach for swimming and snorkelling. The beach lounges are very comfortable and we were able to secure a great spot under a palapa right on the beach everyday and they are spaced well apart from each other. The breakfasts at Lol Ha were very good and we enjoyed many lunches at the main restaurant there as well. Our room was cleaned everyday by Manuelito and he did a great job. Manuel at the front desk was extremely helpful in arranging all our transportation to and from the airport and to the hotel we moved to in Tulum. We've been to Akumal several times before and usually stayed in condos, but since there was just the two of us, Hotel Akumal Caribe suited our needs.

Location was good right on the beach if you want peace and quiet.

On the bright side, the property serves delicious traditional Mexican cuisine, which you can savor while taking in the spectacular views of the Caribbean. The employees are exceptionally kind and hardworking, ensuring that everything is taken care of the moment you mention it. Truly an amazing experience!

This is our fourth stay here. Our rooms arei always very comfortable. The beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The breakfasts were delicious. The scenery as we ate every morning was of the bay and boats and swimmers. The rooms are always cleaned spotlessly. The staff is warm and friendly, and always very professional. Our rooms were steps away from the beautiful beach where every morning our camastros were set up under our favorite palapa. Our favorite palapa was so close to our rooms that it was quick and easy to return to our rooms to get more drinks or to use the restroom. We love this hotel and it’s beautiful location!
