Amazing location and a really cozy cottage. We had a really nice time and enjoyed it. The hot tub was perfect relax after a long day outside exploring the countryside.

The location of the house is amazing, located in very quite surrounding with view overlooking lake. House is well equipped and very comfortable. On top of that there is Jacuzzi outside. Highly recommended !

Amazing location. Line a dream place. Google map shows it on left side of the access road while it's on right side. Follow the instructions by host not Google. Glass balcony room is out of this world with heating in it. Very pretty and climbable hill at the back. Nice hot tub. Neighbour house keeps lights on all night that interferes with Northern lights viewing. This is the only negative point

Wow, just wow. Beautifully located with stunning views. Perfectly equipped.We had everything we needed. Everything was ready for us, hot pot was waiting for us all ready. Would definitely come back.

“Stunning property, stunning location”

This is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed in. The house is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains from the wraparound windows in the living room. Reclining in the hot tub and enjoying the view was one of the highlights of the trip. Good, clear instructions from the owner on how to get in.

The location is beautiful, and the house has everything you need, cozy, but spacious. The kitchen has everything you need, even extra oil, spices, pasta, coffee, in case you miss something. We have not used the gas grill outside though. And the living room has breath taking views, and on top of that, the hut-tub outside.

“An outstanding accommodation with an amazing view …..”

We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

Top place to stay in Iceland. Definitely will come back if we will be in Iceland.

The location was AMAZING, it really was! The cabin was warm and cozy, very comfortable, with a nice functioning, and well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. The interior design of the cabin was very welcoming. GREAT location to see the northern lights!

“Poor Handling of issues by Host”

The view is the main attraction, the house itself is adequate but slightly overpriced for the overall area and region, there are other accommodations in the area that are not necessarily on booking, I recommend a bit of research.

The house is very complete and beautiful furnished. We loved the candles and Christmas decorations. The house was pleasantly warm when we arrived, and so was the hot pool. We had a small problem with the sink. The owner was easy to reach and friendly. He solft the problem straight away. The house has a beautiful view. We where. We were lucky to see the Nothern light on the porch. We hope to come back next year!

“Feel at home”

We deliberately stayed at the Icelandic Lake House for the second time because we feel very comfortable there. The house is in a quiet location and incredibly cosy. You feel right at home. There is simply nothing missing. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, a hot tub invites you to relax.
