Awesome sea view. Great Onsen. Food was exceptional: We had the full oyster meal and special kaiseki. This is some of the best japanese food you can experience! Very relaxing location and quiet place. Very clean!

Newly refurbished, very comfortable, reception was great. Public bath was lovely, esp at sunrise.

Outstanding, every element are well maintained and spotless. Very helpful and attentive staff. Had different dinner menu during consecutive stay was nice. Seaview room and outdoor onsen is a definite hightlight Free parking, but public bus are available too

The reception area is newly renovation but the rooms are old, showing wear and tear. Supper is provided which is nice.

The most distinctive feature about this hotel is the service staff were extremely polite and helpful. They made our stay memorable and comfortable. The view from our bedroom is breathtaking. I will stay here whenever I am in AKO.

The manner and service of staff generally was poor. The vegetation request was sorely lacking - the first ‘sushi’ course of the kaiseki menu which had 11 items, was just a bowl of salad leaves for veggie version - not good! Later in courses they forgot to give vegetarians nabe dish - they remembered during the desert course, which was too late! The waitress was a trainee - I guess she was yet to receive her trading as several times she brought a new course without removing the previous course dishes. After the meal I had to go out to convenience store as Still hungry… Really not good! On booking this Booking.com answered my enquiry about vegetarian option positively. Arriving at the hotel they were rather curtly informing that they would do only what they could with the vegetarian food. I would not have book this if I had known their limitations. Not happy with Ako Onsen or Booking.com
