unfortunately, the windows are very high up and you cannot even open them so you have no view outside

Though I am not an Israeli citizen but they took 17% tax illegally for my stay also I sent my passport and all required documents but they refuse to consider it and did not answer. I strongly disrecommend international traveler's to stay in Chateau Akko.

Chateau Akko is amazing! Really, don't doubt and book this accomodation when you want to stay in Acre. The location of the hostel is near every interesting place: the Ramhal synagogue, the Turkish Bazar, museums, the sea, some little supermarkets. My room was so clean! A good working fridge, a nice shower, soooo much space, 2 clothing racks, more then enough clothes hangers, a comfortable bed and airconditioning in the sleeping room. And it's great to enter the building and have your own code to pass the door and go to your own room, it was like I had my own appartment for some days :) Most important: the owner helped me with everything. Every question was answered very quickly. Nothing was too much to ask. Although I never met him in person, I felt welcome as a quest.
