Such a quiet, relaxed place. Surrounded by forest, it was really nice. The town is a short 5 minute drive, but you do kind of need a car, as the roads were steep. Spacious apartment, big bathroom, comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our stay here!

“Lovely lodges”
The birdsong here is incredible! We sat out in the morning and drank our coffee on our little patio and it was so peaceful. The lodges are lovely and cozy and clean. The owner was friendly.

“Good place to explore from around Lake Akaroa.”
Comfortable, lovely view over lake, easy to find and owner very helpful. Even after we'd left, he messaged us about my daughter having left something behind so we returned to collect it. She wouldn't have realised until we were miles away. Thank you.

“Fabulous location.”
The location was wonderful, secluded in most beautiful surroundings. Our little unit had everything we needed and we enjoyed our brief stay to the full. The lady at reception was welcoming and very helpful. Highly recommended!

What a great stay! The surrounds and accommodation were beautiful, but honestly the true standout was the staff! So friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about the property. It was so lovely. Beautiful big balcony, lovely to sit outside and have a cup of tea.

“Great cabin with beautiful views”
The location was peaceful and views were amazing, surrounded by greenery and a short drive or a 20 minutes walk to town, up hill walk on the way back. The cabin was very good, everything you need for a night or 2, very comfy bed, good bathroom and a small kitchen. Would highly recommend to stay at Mt Vernon lodge.
