“Our stay with Mary in Akaroa was wonderful and a great way to spend my 30th!”
Honestly this was one of the best stays we’ve ever had! We came here for my 30th birthday and the views were out of this world. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and we loved Mary, our host, who was very kind! I used to come to Akaroa as a kid and it was so nice to return after so long and stay in an extremely comfortable place. This is a must stay as it is slightly out of the centre so that it is quiet, but close enough that you can walk in easily! We just want to say a huge thank you to Mary for letting us stay and use all of the facilities 😍

I thought the TV could have been a lot larger and Netflix and Sky Sport should have been included. Given that we have been to 47 Countries and stayed at many many places I thought that the location was probably the most alluring attribute.

Location was superb and the apartment looked exactly like the pictures and sparkling clean. Booking.com did not send the lock box code for the keys but we easily called the host and had it sorted in minutes. We had terrible weather while we were there unfortunately but the apartment was super cozy with plenty of space and a nice little haven from the rain. Walkable to town for a few groceries to pick up for dinner and had everything we needed in the kitchen.

The Beachside Apartment
This beachside apartment is on the ground floor and has a private entrance. It features a wonderful view across the road to the the beach, the harbour and the hills beyond. This apartment has a kitchenette with a smallish under bench oven. For your outdoor alfresco dining there is a deck, table and chairs with the BBQ nearby. As well as the bedroom with queen size bed it has a living room with two fold down sofas which are small double beds. The laundry is available on the floor above.
The Penthouse Studio
The Penthouse Studio apartment features a wonderful view across the harbour to the hills beyond. It is spacious, sunny and comfortable, with a large walk in wardrobe and colorful ensuite.
