Overview
Set on the shores of Lake Akan, Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga offers beautiful hot-spring baths and a variety of shops and restaurants. The spacious Japanese rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring. A range of rooms are available at Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga. Guests can choose Western beds or Japanese futons, and rooms with a private hot-spring bath are offered. All rooms include a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Just 150 metres from Ainu Kotan Folk Village, the hotel is a 10-minute walk from Akandake-Jinja Shrine. The property is an 80-minute bus ride from Kushiro Airport. Guests can relax in the hot tub or sauna, or unwind with a massage. A tour desk and karaoke rooms are on offer. Tenga Restaurant offers Western, Japanese and Chinese cuisines. Kitarikyu has a Japanese menu. The hotel also has a cafe and bar.

“A good stay!”
The facilities in the place were great! Good location and staff very friendly and helpful. Easily could access many places, though the car park was a shuttle ride away. no issue though.

“Good view from the bath”
Lovely big public baths, with an excellent view from the outside pools (especially the ground floor one, where you are basically lakeside.) Comprehensive buffet dinner. Friendly staff. Easy to understand for non Japanese speakers

“Good onsen hotel next to Lake Akan.”
The onsens were nice. The outdoor onsens - ground level and rooftop were amazing. Location next to Lake Akan was great. Both rooms were relatively large.

“do not recommend. The worst hotel in my trip, FRAUD”

The Onsen baths were the best I have experienced so far in Japan, I especially enjoyed the rooftop pool with amazing views of the lake and mountains.

We were very happy we came! The building is massive, with so much to do and discover — like the free stall of steamed potatoes or an harp concert in the evening. All the onsens were fantastic, especially at night with the snow. The buffet is gigantic, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products. We loved our bedroom with the lake view, and would have happily stayed another night if we’d had the time.

“Great views, depressing establishment.”
The hotel has a marvellous location. The outdoor onsen baths on the second floor have nice views and good features, and the staff at the buffets for dinner and breakfast are efficient and polite. The food at the buffets is copious, and as good as one can expect from an open buffet under heat lamps. There are many high-priced ingredients to be had at the buffet, such as snow crab and good sashimi.

The hotel is located right at the lakeside which is lovely. Our room is located in an exclusive area and luxuriously decorated, well equipped and clean, providing the highest comfort level. We would have been very happy to spend our entire stay in the room itself.
